I am reading the Prince Charles book in sections since I am having a hard time concentrating and just read that part. Diana's reason was to keep him away from his friends who had known him while hanging out with Camilla so a valid reason, some might say. However, it isn't good to isolate your husband unless you have an ulterior motive.

I can’t stand Meghan Markle and thinks she’s a phony, a climber, and not terribly talented.

That said, I don’t understand why people blame Meghan for Harry’s behavior, as though she forced him to leave friends and family and royal status behind. Harry is Harry - he’s a big boy. And the trope of woman manipulating man to do XYZ just doesn’t apply here.

By any standard - financial, fame, power, supportive (even if f-d up) family - Harry has way more power. Think about it - Meghan has her mom ... and who else? She’s a loner with few, if any real friends to speak of. Meghan will be lucky if she’s not cast aside for a younger, prettier version in a few years. She better deliver the goods - whatever it was that Harry saw in her. But she didn’t force Harry to do anything.

I’m definitely not a fan of Jessica Mulroney, but it would be pretty shi**y if Meghan dumps her as a friend because she’s no longer useful to her image. I think that would be a misstep on Meghan’s part. I would lose respect for her.
