Math and Science. Administration also said they rarely hear before the students do. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is what admin told my world language academy applicant too. They expect to hear at the same time as students, even though the guide for students and parents says they should hear a week earlier.

Yes! Sounds like they need to update the guide!

DD waiting for French program update. Anyone have kids that participated recently? How did they like it? Don’t have a sense of what she might expect.

For some reason I was hopeful the kids would find out at school this week. Oh well. I'm betting we don't find anything else out now until next week (if we're lucky).

The waiting without knowing a definitive date when things will be released is really hard.

The World Language academy parent guide said we’d find out April 15, and schools would know about one week prior. Even if schools don’t find out until we do, I’m still hoping for Monday as the latest. I would really like to finalize summer plans for our family.

Currently waiting on results for Math, Science, and Technology. However, I was wondering how Governor's School payment will work. I heard it is free but I also read on the VDOE website that it costs $1950. Which one is it?

For public school students, it is free. (There’s a very small materials fee.) For private school students, the school has to pay half of the total cost so it’s possible they could require that be paid by the family. My guess is that it depends on the school.

It's free for public school kids, fees are paid by the school. We did pay a small activities fee (last year) which was waivable based on income.
