Guiliani, Trump, and Ukraine

What is OMB? Sorry. I think the the first word would be "Office" but I'm drawing a blank.

I wonder if these two fellows were under surveillance and arrested when they tried to flee. They were probably tipped off.

This whole administration is like a hard to follow conspiracy movie.

More like a Showtime series where when the next season comes out trying to remember all the threads of the previous one is really, really, really hard

Why are these two Ukrainians being arrested in Dulles while Barr is obstructing, or not letting, other people testify to similar issues?

I'm confused.

And I want a new administration. I'll take Pence but I need all the other mucky people who are willing to sell our country gone too.

I wouldn’t assume that Pence isn’t one of them.

During your extensive interactions with Ukrainian officials, you also reportedly "pressed the Ukrainian president to fire members of the Naftogaz advisory board" and "made clear" to
Ukrainian officials and energy sector officials "that the Trump administration wanted to see the entire Naftogaz supervisory board replaced." You reportedly gave President Zelensky a list of
potential board members, including Michael Bleyzer, who "donated $20,000 to Perry's reelection campaign" in 2010, and Robert Bensh, "another Texan who frequently works in Ukraine."

According to press reports, your efforts raised questions about whether you were "seeking to provide certain Americans help in gaining a foothold in the Ukrainian energy business at a time when the new Ukrainian government was looking to the United States for signals of support in its simmering conflict with Russia."

The proposal to install new board members at Naftogaz was reportedly promoted by three donors to Donald Trump's presidential campaign: "two Soviet-born Florida real estate
entrepreneurs, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, and an oil magnate from Boca Raton, Florida, named Harry Sargeant III." According to these reports, their plan was to "steer lucrative contracts to
companies controlled by Trump allies. In service of these efforts, Mr. Parnas, Mr. Fruman, and Mr. Sargeant also touted "a plan to replace Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolyev with another senior executive at the company."

Mr. Pamas and Mr. Fruman are also "clients of Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani." When Mr. Giuliani was asked about efforts to install new members on Naftogaz's board, he
responded, "I may or may not know anything about it. "

Throughout this period, Mr. Parnas, Mr. Fruman, and Mr. Sargeant reportedly "touted connections to Giuliani and Trump while trying to install new management at the top of Ukraine's massive state gas company." They also "appear to have had inside knowledge of the U.S. government's plans in Ukraine." For example, "Mr. Parnas and Mr. Fruman boasted that they had worked with Mr. Giuliani to force the recall this spring of the American ambassador to Ukraine, Marie L. Yovanovitch."

Mr. Parnas and Mr. Fruman reportedly "told people that Trump would replace the U.S. ambassador there months before she was actually recalled to Washington." When Mr. Giuliani was asked about whether he was involved with this effort to recall the Ambassador to Ukraine, he responded, "I did play a role in that."

“Sessions, who was one of the most endangered Republican incumbents during the 2018 cycle, was one of 15 House candidates to benefit from America First’s eight-figure independent expenditure campaign. The group ultimately dropped more than $3.1 million supporting Sessions and attacking Allred, according to Federal Election Commission data. Only one other House candidate got more America First air support last year.“
https://www.thedailybeast.com/america-first-action-backed-by-giuliani-henchmen-spent-big-for-pete-sessions-after-he-targeted-ukraine-diplo

From the same article:

"Sessions’ role in the saga began in the spring of 2018. On May 9, Parnas posted photos to Facebook showing him and a business associate, David Correia, posing with the then-congressman in the Capitol complex. Two days later, Sessions shot off a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo questioning the fitness of Yovanovitch.

"Six days after the letter was sent, Global Energy Producers made its donation to American First. The following month, Parnas and Fruman each donated the legal maximum to Sessions’ campaign.

"America First spokesperson Kelly Sadler said there was no understanding when GEP donated to the group that it would be supporting Sessions’ candidacy, or that the money provided by Parnas’ and Fruman’s company would go towards a specific candidate."

Holy crap Pete Sessions’ father was a former FBI Director.

- The two Ukranian thugs who were arrested made illegal campaign contributions to Trump on behalf of one or more shady Ukraians and/or Russians.
- The two thugs were ‘friends’ with Rudy Guilliani, who wanted Ukraine to investigate the alleged corrupt activities of the Biden family.
- The two thugs also wanted the female Ukranian ambassador fired since she was impeding the attempts to strongarm Ukraine.
- The two thugs contributed to Pete Sessions and to Kevin McCarthy to influence them to get rid of the female Ukrainian ambassador.
- Bill Barr signed off on the arrest of the two thugs in a possible attempt to cover his backside and implicate Giuliani.
- Giuliani may have received notice of the impending arrest of the thugs from his friends in the FBI in SDNY, and warned the thugs, who then attempted to flee.
- Former Trump lawyer John Dowd is representing the two thugs and is claiming some kind of convoluted executive privilege protection.
- This is all part of the broader investigation of the Trump/Ukraine scandal re the whistleblower complaint.

This may have seemed like a huge scandal three years ago, but now it seems like just another day in Trump world. How does the thugs illegally channeling money to Trump differ from the NRA doing the same thing? And whatever happened to that case? Does any of this directly implicate Trump? I’d love for this to go somewhere, but I can’t help but be skeptical, especially as this has become so complex.

They are US citizens now, but apparently exceeded contribution limits while also funneling contributions from a foreign donor not named in the indictment (there's I think 4 guys in the indictment).
The contributions went to a PAC.
Thugs you say? Heavens no. They dine with Rudy and visit Mar-a-Lago, how could they possibly?
The contributions were made in the name of Global Energy Partners LLC, supposedly a company trading in natural gas and other energy stuff but did not actually do anything besides funnel money to the PAC, so there is fraud in connection with setting up the business and using it as a straw donor.
Dowd is claiming attorney client privilege, as a private attorney (including his work for Trump previously) executive privilege would not apply. But given the charges against these guys, wouldn't they have to be spun off to a different lawyer at some point due to potential conflict for Dowd if he has previously represented Trump?

On a side topic, last week Guiliani hired his own lawyer who said publicly something about how with Rudy you tell him one thing and he goes and does another. Anyone remember that, who was that lawyer, and does he still have the same lawyer?
There will be connections with the Ukraine/Trump scandal although I'm shaky on the thread right now, but Rick Perry would be a link if I am understanding the picture right.

^^ I forgot the fact that the former Ambassador is mentioned in the indictment, makes for a blatant connection with Trump
