| Not on the agenda until 11:35 am. |
| That's only two hours from now. |
| Public comments are scheduled for 11 AM, right? Maybe someone will speak then. |
| I don't think the public comments will be about this because they were on the agenda before this was announced (just Friday when the agenda was released). |
| Comments are starting. One person speaking (already on the agenda) appears to be complaining about the new holiday/teacher workday. |
That's good. |
|
That person did a good job. Citing last year's decision to remove references vs. last month's decision to honor a specific religion. Nothing specific on the calendar shift, just "you say you can't and won't do this... and then you do."

Here is a transcript of the comments on the calendar.

| Two people speaking in favor of the calendar and the inclusion of the Muslim holiday. |
| Thank you for posting these updates for those of us who can't watch the meeting. Good to know what is happening. |
No, Diwali is a Hindu holiday. So they want to add a NEW freaking holiday. |
| Tuned into live to watch comments on calendar and when it came up on the agenda they skipped it and said it was discussed earlier. Did anyone watch earlier? |
| PP again. The 2 Indian men speaking about Diwali were not on the original list for public comments. |
Not sure what you mean. They just finished public comments. They moved Item 13 (?) up after Public Comments. I haven't heard anything about the school year calendar. |
| Ooops, item 12 was moved up, not item 13. |
