DH is taking unpaid vacation

DH talked to his manager. DM ("dear" Manager) freaked out at first saying they could never go on without him, it would take time to find someone to fill out DH's position and blah blah blah. DH explained that since the company doesn't support or stimulate the employees' academic achievements he needed the break to be able to finally finish school and get it out of his way so he could dedicate himself entirely to the company when (if) he returned.
DM understood and agreed, still he offered DH to do his job from home for fewer hours per week but we know exactly what it will turn out (and he said that to his manager) and unfortunately it would not be an option for him.
HR approved DH's leave. Part of it will be vacation, part of it will be personal days, and the rest will be unpaid leave.
DM got the hint that DH does not intend to go back after the leave and said that after all these years working together he completely understands how DH feels and said that DH is one of the very few people he would ever recommend. He asked DH if he could keep his info, asked DH to keep in touch and thanked DH.
A few hours later we got an email with an electronic giftcard of $200 as a gift for the birth of our child - not being ungrateful here, $200 is a lot of money and we're thankful for his generosity, but this is baby #2 and when #1 was born this guy didn't even give DH a call to say congratulations when DH put in the sick leave to stay at home the first few weeks.
Anyway, I think he's freaking out because he'll have to do DH and his job for a while. DH thinks he's being regretful.
Either way, we're both so excited with what is about to come in our lives. For the first time we'll be all together for more than 1 or 2 days at a time. We'll be able to have a routine, we'll finally have real quality time together and DH will have time to dedicate himself to something that gives him pleasure. We'll be able to exercise again, do real outings as a family, and maybe even read to them. How cool is that?

as usual, this makes no sense.
what does the bolded part mean?
are you saying he's going back, or he's not going back?
how is he taking unpaid leave since you CANNOT CANNOT EVER work?
why does he need more schooling if he's so incredible in his field?

can't believe i'm even entertaining this.

and once again - where are your kids? how do you justify spending all day on DCUM when you have children needing attention RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU?

I wonder what you do for a living... What field of work would be a fit for someone that can't think outside of the box. I wonder...

Anyway, here we go... the bolded part means that the manager needs DH's expertise so he offered DH to work from home fewer than the 60 hours a week he does at the client's. DH knows they don't respect the hours, they call during the weekend and during the night anyway so he didn't take this offer.
DH is about to graduate in a HIGHER level of education so besides his expertise he'll know more about other areas so he can get different and better paying jobs once he's done with school. He does not intend to go back, the manager understands it but DH cannot quit. (I've said that around 200 times I think)
We have one thing called SAVINGS. It works very well when you don't have income but still have bills to pay. You should read a bit about it. I thought most Americans knew about it.
He needs more schooling because he's not an idiot who thinks he can do this for the rest of his life. He wants the intellectual stimulation, he wants to explore different areas, he wants to network and meet different people.

Are you for real? Did you really need me to come here and say this to you?

You know what I think? Narcissistic personality disorder.

Did you get your degree in psychiatry online too or just your diagnoses are online?

I notice you don't address that at all even though it's been pointed out numerous times that you're the one who's the bitch there.

Plenty of people called me Chipotle lady and I laughed with them at it. There are plenty of ways to refer to people and some of you chose this way just because you know it hurts (literally).

I will say that again. If you don't know the name of a child in school or in the park do you call them baldy? lazy eye? do you call the bus driver names too? Shame on you!

You are now Psoriasis lady to me.

You're nothing to me, just an anonymous bitch that would never have the guts to say it to my face.

Oh, but I would.

I doubt it.

If your DD is delayed she will qualify for special needs preschool. It is free, and it is great.

Well, you live out of the area, so I won't get this opportunity, but believe me, I would take great joy actually in saying all of this to your face.

WAIT .... you mean that OP/Chipotle Lady doesn't even live in the DC area but spends this much time and energy on DCUM?? Really? If that's the case, that only adds to the weirdness.

All of you answering to OP seem to have worse personality.

And I wonder also where are your children? Oh wait...everybody else can spend time on dcum but not OP.

My kids are in school. Private schools and public schools in Loudon and MoCo have started already. I'm home on medical leave, so I still get paid. Whoo hoo. Although this whole thread is rotting my brain.

Now, what are your kids doing again?

Nobody cares about everything else you wrote because a) you've admitted you make shit up, b) it doesn't make any sense, c) you're once again bitching about something you have no right to bitch about (a $200 gift card for the birth of your kid who is FOUR months old (supposedly, but who the fuck knows) and d) you are insufferable and nobody gives a shit about how good or bad the updates to your sad little life are.

You know what, PP? I don't even want to go there. If they're SAH they're hypocrites. If they WOH even worse because they're browsing while they're expected to be working and I wonder how they would feel if they knew the person they're paying to do their job at home is browsing the internet instead of feeding or engaging their children.
