What do you think about Stella and Dot jewelry?

I am replying to these comments with all honesty! I use to only wear gold and platinum and am extremely allergic to most every other metal and have ended to using epi pen with several terrible reactions before! I fell in love with the story behind stella and signed on over six years ago to be a stylist! Never wearing seeing the jewelry! It was delivered and I was over the moon that I had no reaction to any piece my entire six plus years! The company from top-Jessica Herrin to the products designers and stylists are amazing and truly the best company around! If you've had a bad experience with the pieces or products you should call customer service we have an amazing delight policy so can be replaced or try something else! Our prices aren't forever 21 bc they truly have used compromised products to cut cost! We don't! We visit and oversee all our manufacturers and all designs are ours created by our designers in New York and California! Please give it another try! Thx

That's a lot of exclamation points.

She is allergic to more sedate punctuation I'm sure.

Seriously this sort of lying is what makes it hard for people with legitimate allergies; you don't need an epi-pen when you get a rash from wearing nickel. I assume drinking from an alloy soda can would be lethal and you must pay everything in dollar bills.

Anonymous wrote:My Poor husband bought a necklace and ear rings from someone at work selling the stuff. It is such poor quality, that I would actually be embarrassed to wear it. He spent 150.00 for the set, and I have honestly seen better looking pieces at K-Mart. When I told him I did not like it, he agreed that he himself was shocked that it was such junk, but he didn't want to be a jerk and return it via a coworker. Awkward! So, now I have to find someone I don't like like to give it to. Maybe I can give it to Goodwill or a 5 year old.

Ugh contributing to a zombie thread that's been beaten to death... but

THIS ^^ is the worst. Coworkers, don't do this to people with whom you're supposed to be professional. (or to friends either! or family!)

Horrible! My place of employment gave us all $100 gift cards and if we ordered within a specific timeline we got another $50 each - I did and NEVER (this is 10/6/15) received my items. Repeated attempts to reach one of 2 of the representatives has resulted in NOTHING! What a joke!

btw - it is 10/6/15 but I received the gift card for a Christmas of 2014

Who gave you the gift cards? Was it just a rep at work or was it through HR as a gift to employees? If it was official, they should know that the cards are not being honored. If it was just a rep at work, well she sucks anyway.

Asked consultant what kind of metal the necklaces were made from she assured me they were hypo-allergenic. I wore the necklace one time had hives all over my neck contacted her about sending it back 2 weeks ago. She asked if I wanted to try something else. I said no and I never heard anything from her again......she conveniently cashed the check today instead of helping me send the order back. I am supposed to have a party in the near future and that will NOT be happening.

You can get just as cute and much cheaper jewelry if you shop around at places like Francesca's, Etsy, and Alex and Ani. These places don't have that rush of urgency, so you don't feel obligated to buy at that moment, unless of course it's on sale and you really want it. With a party, you're almost insulting the hostess by not buying, and feel obligated. Next time just have a Wine and Cheese party!

Why do people call this "Jewellery" ? It's just plastic junk. There are no jewels or precious stones / metals in these "Jewellery".

I have had problems with a wristlet. One necklace I opened upon receiving it and the clasp was broken, also my cross bracelet broke and now my chain charm bracelet literally just fell off my wrist. Literally! I will say I have not had a problem exchanging the pieces.. But I'd say half the stuff I bought is just fine. I would go the silpada route though... Not buying anything else... For sure

Anonymous wrote:I cant believe all the negativity here on this forum regarding Stella and Dot makes me wonder what sort of people browse this type of forum?...I have been buying Stella and Dot jewellery and other fashion pieces for years and absolutely love it...some of the cheaper pieces have not lasted as long as I would have liked but I have been wearing it everyday or very often especially the elastic pieces they did not last but overall I am very happy with my purchases especially with all the compliments I get when I wear them. I really love the bags and purses they are my Fav! Even when my broken piece was no longer available I was able to get credit for something else. I cannot believe all the lies that seem to be told about its quality on this forum! Makes me very very suspicious...and about the business model wake up its just social selling word of mouth selling dealing with local reps rather than head office... you can just go online or buy direct from the catalog which I have done heaps of time... if you dont want to see the products in person which is the reason I go to shows as they look very different to online photos.. dont go to one of the 'parties' (I dont think they call them parties?)and politely decline especially if it is your friend...I dont understand how people feel obliged to buy if they dont like it or feel pressured to buy come on grow up.. how stupid...just be honest and dont go or dont buy! I will continue to buy it as it is fashion forward, different and good quality for the money and most importantly I feel great wearing it! I do agree some of it is a bit pricey but that is because it is best quality. If I am not happy with any of the pieces I just send it back to my rep simple and get it replaced or refunded. Dont listen to all this negative crap here...go and check it out for yourself then you will know the real truth.

There is something about this post that rings false and makes me NOT want to purchase Stella and Dot jewelry.
