DCUM draws the semi-hysterical and anxiety ridden crowd. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to what’s being said on here. |
| If APS does not open tomorrow, it’s going down. Riots in the snow covered streets. |
It’s actually ice covered streets – oh the irony. |
has anyone seen a school bus out yet? after the last huge snowstorm (2016?) they ran the bus routes after the big equipment cleared the streets |
I saw one last Friday in North Arlington. |
Me! I saw one driving on Nelly Custis about an hour ago. |
This truly surprises me, it was an APS vehicle? I did didn’t know they could have transportation work on weekends. |
They were doing this Thursday and Friday. |
The streets are actually quite clear. The ice covered sidewalks! |
Why not? You can pay anyone overtime. |
I think the ones I saw on Friday were for the HS swim meet and a HS basketball game. |
The streets absolutely aren't clear. There are tons of places where only one car can fit through on a two way road with no spot for anyone to pull to the side. It's such a mess in my neighborhood. Even major roads, like Langston, still have random piles of snow blocking lanes. |
Yes I get this. I meant where it’s cleared it’s not icy and it’s down to pavement. The one lane roads and piles of snow situation is going to be like that for weeks. |
That's definitely a good sign! We haven't see one yet and we are by a hub stop. Maybe they will swing by later today. |
My house is on a big hill and our street is a giant sheet of several inches of ice. It's absolutely not bare pavement, even in the single lane that's been plowed. |
