Exvangelical Influencers

Ah, the unfollow or even the block! People are probably too entertained. I will do it! I will unfollow! They bother me so much and I dont need it in my life. Let’s break free.

Well she definitely uses AI to fake text conversations because absolutely no one would say they’re 150% happier in their new relationship but 150% less happier in their coparenting dynamic. Damn Anna if you’re going to fabricate text messages at least be a little less obvious…

Yup hair flip did it for me I’m out

I wonder if they got married just for the content.

I don’t think this woman does anything that isn’t for status, money, or attention.

Big problem with the post a few months ago that said something like, “Even the experts need help sometimes.” In which they hail
themselves as “experts.”Ugh!!!!! I think they are like sitting on a couch looking emo.

Block all the Howertons. Krusten, mark, ana. There is no reason to waste brain cells.

Yes everything she preaches is crazy, is likely a terrible person, but she first and foremost needs a crash course in makeup and grammar.

She praises Mark for being helpful and thoughtful. The example used a while back is that he brings her coffee to her in the morning??? Dude thats the bare minimum. Never hear any more specifics. Grasping for straws.

NP. What is this thread?

So there are 2-3 posters here who hate evangelicals and come here to trash ex-evangelicals who apparently had the courage (even if they're still dumb as rocks) to leave evangelism....

And ... what?

This doesn't make anyone look good. Not evangelicals, not ex-evangelicals. And certainly not the 2-3 posters here who spend their days here thinking it's a "gotcha" to trash... checks notes... not-evangelicals. Because this is almost making the evangelical remainers look good compared to the leavers, unless it's opposites day, or something?

/s, and not an evangelical by a huuuge stretch

No one is trashing or even commenting on anyone's religious standing here. The people we are talking about used to be in the evangelical influencer sphere. Their leaving isn't the focus of the thread, we are focused on their cringey platforms and weird online personas, not the fact that they left the church. This was started as a place to discuss Hatmaker-adjacent influencers who are interesting to a number of us of used to (or still) follow these people. If that's not for you fine but you are misreading the conversation completely. Also it's obviously more than a few people because I've seen friends of Kristen comment, people whose kids go to her school, more than one old college friend of Anna and people who are friends with her ex's new fiance, and people lik me who followed all of Jen's friends for a long time. I think Anna is fascinating to a lot of people because she is just so absolutely bonkers and lacking in self-awareness while trying to be another Jen Hatmaker type. I read this thread with the same energy that I watch SLOMW. I can't look away and the dysfunction makes me feel like I've got my own s**t together by comparison.

^ completely agree. It’s low stakes drama and entertainment that gets me through as a distraction to the more serious things going on in the world.

Anna seems to have completely lost it posting her own husband giving her “feedback” and referring to her son as her second boyfriend.

Anna, is that you?

I read this forum because it reminds me how shallow, hollow, and messed up purported “influencers” are. There is very little truth to their online personas. It’s all attention seeking shenanigans to gain followers and money. I am able to help my kids sift through things in social media because of people like these “exvangelical influencers.” I guess Anna is technically “coattails” of these influencers due her new creepy marriage to Mark.

I am sorry, but I used to think Anna was kind of cute based on pics of Marks Instagram. I’m not trying to be petty and pick on someone’s looks, but after following her for a while I see a totally different person. Like so unattractive and just unhappy in general. If I didn’t think she was so miserable, I would almost feel bad for this apparent decline.
