This kind of dismissive attitude is one reason you've got Orange Man in office again.

How many chances are we supposed to give these morons? I’m not a daycare worker. |
I support DEI but the H1B programs have to go. The Indians still follow a caste system for crying out loud. And we are not bringing in the people who are being harmed by that system but the people who are perpetuating it and bringing it here. They are welcome to compete on their merits and at fair market rates. If an employer really wants them they can sponsor them the old fashioned way. |
Ok, that’s fair. |
1000% Nobody cares to discuss vast abuses of this system which dates back decades. Hiring practices we were forced to follow were completely illegal as we only had H1B resumes land on our desks, and that was during 2008 crisis aftermath when so many American workers lost their jobs and homes. |
Release the EPSTEIN FILES....lots of human trafficking happened there. Oh and Matt Gaetz ......human trafficking |
MAGA part of uneducated snakes |
Exactly. They're taking advantage of us and we're letting it happen. |

I’m against blanket elimination of the H1B program without a plan of modification. It is one of the only ways to bring educated self supporting people into the country legally. It used to be about 85,000 people annually which is a drop in the bucket compared to the millions (!) of mainly uneducated and support needing people who’ve crossed the border annually (and stayed) over the same last two decades alone. However, an overhaul of legal immigration is desperately needed.
For many years it used to be that the H1B visa allotment was about equal to the number of applications by a few thousand. About 10 years ago the number of applications began to sky rocket. Recently it was 750K. I believe one reason is the population explosion in India (projected 2 billion soon - more than the Americas and Europe combined). Two decades ago India already had entire graduate schools focused on getting their whole graduating class into the United States. No plans for a career in India at all - only those who failed the process. The schools advertised with the rates of success. I can only imagine this mindset has intensified with the population growth. |
I say this as someone who has believed in, and closely tracked, Epstein-gate all the way back when it was mostly considered a Q*ano*n conspiracy theory. So my level of investment is much deeper than the average person. But listen closely: concern about what happened with Epstein does not, and should not, be placed above immediate threats to health and safety. The idea that people should care more about the release of documents than about cleaning up a crime infested city is a luxury belief and part of why Democrats are wildly unpopular right now. The only reason the left is going crazy about Epstein is because it was probably an Israeli op and people want to say the US government is covering it up. Newsflash: we've known the Israelis spy on us (hello Jonathan Pollard) and influence our politics for decades. Okay? Keep up. This isn't an eye opening revelation to anyone who pays attention to the news. |
Cleaning up DC is a made up emergency. It's a distraction. There is no crime crisis. All countries spy on us -- and we spy on them, too. |
| How is ICE deciding where to raid? Are people turning in businesses or coworkers or are they just guessing? |
I've personally turned in several businesses and know of at least two that have been raided. |
They have a tip line. Do you need it? |
