https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/03/us/politics/john-sununu-senate-new-hampshire.html John E. Sununu Is Exploring a Senate Run in New Hampshire The former senator has been out of office for more than 15 years, but his last name is synonymous with Republican politics in a state where party leaders see a chance to flip a seat. |
The father or the son? |
The son, although the father at age 86 is at a more appropriate age for the Senate 😆 |
|
So cute anyone thinks republicans are allowing us to vote in 1016
Look up Cleta Mitchell she's telling you what they are going to do. Voting is over people |
Beto can not win in Texas sorry but he can not. It's a waste of money and resources for him to run. Is he great of course can he win no. Paxton will jail him |
Texas is a huge state and Democrats shouldn't just roll over and play dead in a state where a lawless AG is threatening to jail their poiltical rival and getting away with it. Candidate efforts to mobilize likely voters will pay dividends in other races even if they don't win the Senate. |
36 year old James Talreico just threw his hat in the ring as a Democratic Senate candidate. Between him and Collin Allred-Dems have two strong candidates. https://www.politico.com/news/2025/09/09/talarico-official-announcement-texas-senate-00550887 Talarico, the former middle school teacher and seminarian who grew up the son of a single mother, has attracted significant attention since he flipped a Trump-leaning state House district in the Austin suburb of Round Rock, winning it by 2 percentage points in 2018. He has since built a viral video presence leaning on his theological background and scored a coveted sitdown on Joe Rogan’s podcast in July. Now Talarico will test the power of the attention economy to mobilize Democratic donors, volunteers and voters in a state that has long been out of reach. An eighth-generation Texan, Talarico said he knows there’s a steep path — both to the nomination and the Senate — but he’s ready for a challenge (he once walked 25 miles across the length of his district twice, holding three town halls over 10 hours). |
Joni Ernst's exit shook up Iowa's US Senate race. Here's how the candidates plan to compete https://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/news/politics/2025/09/08/us-senate-election-2026-iowa-candidates-issues/85939702007/ U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson is the favorite to win the Republican nomination with U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst out of the race. But she faces a primary challenge. Democrats are seeking to attack Hinson over her vote for President Donald Trump's "big, beautiful bill," saying she and Ernst have "nearly identical voting records." Election analysts still rate Iowa's Senate race as "likely Republican," although Democrats say they're seeing increased excitement. For only the third time in 50 years, Iowa will have an open U.S. Senate race on the ballot come next year. |

Roy Cooper's Chances of Flipping North Carolina GOP Senate Seat Gets Boost
https://www.newsweek.com/roy-cooper-north-carolina-gop-senate-2129973 Former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper may have a strong chance of flipping a Republican U.S. Senate seat in the state, with recent polling showing the Democrat with a 7-point lead over Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley, who is endorsed by President Donald Trump. |

Mills is interviewing staff for a possible Senate run
The term-limited governor would be a top recruit for Democrats in a state that former Vice President Kamala Harris won last November. https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2025/09/10/congress/mills-inches-closer-to-senate-run-00555083 |
She's 77 years old. Recruited by 74 year old Chuck Schumer. Will Democrats never learn? |
There are some seriously good, younger candidates there. Mills is a huge mistake, but its Schumer, so it checks. |
| I didn’t read this thread because DCUM has been wrong about every political prediction. Everyone on here except for a few voices said Kamala was a slam dunk. Then if you go back to the old Hillary threads they said she would win too. |
