They are decent, but bring in ringers for tournaments and let the regular kids sit. They also only bat 10 but keep a large roster.

Our son plays for Stags and none of this is true in our experience. We have 12 on our roster and have never brought in a "ringer" for a tournament. Some of the kids on our team will play with the other team at our age level for tournaments and vice versa but that's about it.

That's super cheap so....

I see 21 on their roster.

We played the Stags a tournament and they had player(s) from their 15u team on the 14u team. (Age-wise was legal.) Had him pitch 90+. Definitely bringing in ringers from other age levels.

Not everyone that appears in GC is on the "roster". Over spring break, kids from all 13u and 14u teams played for other teams so they'd have enough players. Those kids aren't all on the roster...they just appear in game changer if they've played a single game. The teams typically play with the same 12-13 players.

It’s a Classic pyramid scheme, starting new teams to pay off old debts. They are negligent on their nvtbsl bills. They have coaches who no-show to private lessons and then charge anyway. They have coaches who are married and are sleeping with team moms. They have coaches under criminal federal investigation and with DUIs who show up high. Their facility has rodents and is filthy. There is no mentorship or player development. They are last to sign up for nvtbsl or always register late so the outdoor practices are all over the place and so far away. The owners have a god complex and think they are king makers when 90% of their “college athletes” are paying double for college just for the privilege to play the bench on a D3 team. Would not trust anyone in that organization to supervise my children any way.

We’re going to need more details on this sleeping with team moms stuff. A LOT more.

One team organization that I’ve begin to enjoy for my son is Koa Waves. Although the organization itself hasn’t been the greatest in the past, the commits almost always go to high academic schools like Cornell. The 2027 team has been amazing and they have one multiple tournaments and coaching is great.
Program is getting better and better.

I have never seen them in any tournament, even the ones at Patriot Park.

What tournaments do they play?

Also, Cornell doesn’t list any 2022-2025 commits that were recruited from a Waves team.

I believe the commit was 2021. But so far, they have had multiple tournaments including PBR, Xposure, Prospect Select, and more. I may be wrong but I believe they have a showcase or scout day coming up that is just for the organization. They had two tournaments at patriots park already this season and have one more coming up. Great team, great coaches, great families too!

I can report that Skaggs brought in a ringer this weekend and had regular pitchers sit so he could get his reps. Shady organization, steer clear

The director of Primetime who now funnels primetime kids to OConnell is bringing in a bunch of transfers who will play over kids that have been at OConnell for years. Kids who invested their time and family’s money for years just to have transfer play over them. Messed up.

Op. Skaggs is the OG scumbag. Has his hands in dirty dealings with all the teams from the very youngest to the oldest. Very Trumpy and rotten. Not at the center of the romantic scandal though obviously.
