You got that right. I just got a text from my “incensed” father in Georgia. A lifelong democrat who said he’s “done with the corruption” and is voting for Trump. Never voted for a Republican that I can remember

Yes, I am sure a life long democrat who voted twice against Trump, followed this trial and found Trump was witch-hunted.

Please.

Nobody knows what will happen with this.

Bill Clinton was not convicted of felonies, it was a completely different scenario because it was basically about an affair, which was forgiven for Trump many times over.

Independent voters do not like the idea of a felon for president, and the fact that it was a jury verdict has a very different sway.

NP. You are looking at this incorrectly. Biden has not existed in a bubble - there have been many other issues during his presidency that could easily lead the pp’s father to consider this trial ‘icing’

Biden has nothing to do with this

His policies do. People are comparing the Biden years to the Trump years

This will surely be the end of Trump.

More idiots in trailers giving away their pensions to a convicted felon! Every comment from a tRumper on this thread shows just how ignorant you all are. It's pathetic really.

Or… do you remember when the 2020 Trump campaign opened up tickets publicly on some platform and every person with any desire to mess with them requested tickets and Trump thought he’d be greeted by a crowd 50,000 strong… and it was like 500? I wouldn’t be surprised if a similar group decided to mess with Trump electronically again.

My then HS kids and many of their friends did this. They were so thrilled to take some keyboard action given that they were not able to do much more in the Summer of COVID.

Even if he doesn’t, Americans are not the same anymore. And that’s a good thing I think. There needs to be more thinking and less feeling

Goes to show that following Trump makes you a loser. He is not a smart man. He acts out based on his pure id, he cannot control himself. Who wants a president with such little self-regulation, who can't control his own behavior? Bad news.

While this is true, to be fair, I think it would have been hard for any defense team to do significantly better. The facts were damning. And it’s not like they could have put Trump on the stand.

But it was a weird and weak defense for sure.

Go look up the transcript of Biden’s speech at the recent Morehouse graduation, wherein he specifically addressed his youthful sentiments regarding the civil rights movement and how it compelled him to public service.

You just look dumb misrepresenting the positions of a man whose record is so long and established in the public record. Yes, Biden supported the crime bill which was inherently racist - but that’s due to our system and many well meaning democrats supported that bill and bear responsibility for the many ill effects of it. But Joe Biden is no Bull Connor, not by any stretch of the imagination except perhaps in a MAGA delusion.

Now that is funny.

“You can’t win, Darth. If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

How does this win him votes of independents or people on the fence?

NP. Some of those people might believe that it was a political prosecution.

You show me one person “on the fence” on this issue.

NP. I believe there are a lot of people concerned about the justice system and even if they weren’t on the fence, they just might switch sides

I guess you missed the story about how a conviction would cost him independent voters.

Where would they go? Biden? Not a chance. Independents would either vote RFK or Trump.

LOL. You mean Brain Worms and Felon? The ads write themselves.

Please go with that. Use silly phrases, feelings, and childish humor

Anonymous wrote:People who want the Biden's investigated and charged are saying that they understand and trust the system... right? Well, the system just found DJT guilty of these felonies. It will be appealed (which is something our wealthiest citizens can afford) and we will see what happens in a few years. Meanwhile there are a few innocent people in jail who couldn't afford the appeal process. Sucks for them

The problem with this is that MAGA sees Hunter Biden as illegally possessing a gun and lying on a federal form, and the system is not working.

It’s not just this trial, which yes he did seem to follow with some odd interest. I think the trial was the last straw.

I’m the new poster who said that your Dad probably saw this as icing on the cake, i.e. the last straw. Makes excellent sense.

For now, the talking point is ‘convicted felon’. Ther are others that feel the same as your father and Biden using this talking point is simply going to increase Trump’s lead.

Sure. Running a convicted felon is sound political strategy. Not all voters are as morally bankrupt as you. Aside, he’s going to do nothing but whine about this all summer/fall. Even his supporters are going to be bored to tears by it all.
