Yes, who was missing. Looked at the starting lineups again and all of the most relevant starters were there.

If Freedom wins big over Battefield would we rank them top team in Loudoun including PVI who are a bit down?

Why compare apples and oranges? Sure they both play lacrosse, but each has no bearing on the other for a championship, conference standings etc.

Regarding the goalie, all teams have injuries and it’s a team sport. Yes, is it beating BHS at their peek, no, but you could say that for almost any win. If the Riverside Fogo played, would have Freedom won? I doubt it, but he didn’t and they lost and the result is the result.

I dont think Briar Woods was missing anyone.... and if they were, do they make a difference in the outcome? Not sure they do, they lost 16-5 and it was 8-0 after the 1st quarter....

Freedom didn't have their starting goalie for thr first 4-5 games either, or the starter from 2023 who quit before the season started for some reason. PVi and several teams in the WCAC or IAD would beat most of the Virginia Public School teams, including Freedom.

I know they will never play but this is a Loudoun thread and many of these kids played Dulles South together. It would likely be a better game than you may think

I know they will never play but this is a Loudoun thread and many of these kids played Dulles South together. It would likely be a better game than you may think

If you wanted to do that why not a Loudoun pub vs private?

They were missing a starting defenseman and two at attack, looking through previous games. Also it looks like the coach made a goalie switch after the 8-1 first quarter, which may mean he wasn’t 100% either, just speculating. Probably doesn’t change the outcome, but the margin would have been much closer with their full team. Riverside’s FOGO however looks healthy which is a really good sign for them for the end of the season and playoffs.

I did see Riverside’s best pole go down pretty early. That would be a big loss if he doesn’t come back. Offensively they looked really balanced with a number of threats on the field. Briar’s #1 and #27 impressed me too.
