I’ve posted before that my kids won’t consider red states for a variety of reasons, including women’s healthcare. I see others posting about it as well.

OK, psycho.

Seems like you’re triggered by women having health care. Are you also triggered by LGBTQ kids?

Excuse me, but the correct acronym is LGTBQIA+

Please do better.

What does the I stand for? Incels?

Were you trying to make a lame joke? You failed if so. It was not funny. But you did expose your bigotry.

Everyone knows the “I” stands for intersex peoples.

Even people who are 100% in favor of every possible sexual identity have to be amused by each additional letter added to LGBT…. It’s become a Portlandia satire of itself.

It’s like back in the day when McDonald’s had those signs that said like “Over 500,000,000 served” and they kept adding zeros until it just got to be too much & they finally gave up. So why not just say you support people of all types, A-Z, and be done with it?

I'm just mad that they took the beautifully designed rainbow flag and turned it into a very ugly and incoherent one, with all those additions! I don't mind anyone getting some advocacy and rights, but hands off beautiful design. And now if you fly the rainbow flag it looks like you're anti trans rights - no, just pro good design!

My only issue with the new flag is it looks like South Africa’s flag

The minuscule number of these other deviant sexual identities trying to hitch a ride on the coattails of hard-fought rights for homosexuals is annoying though, to be sure.

+1. And I think that's why the BDSM, daddy-daughter, etc community is no longer associated with the queer community. A few years ago there was a push to make all kink be considered queer and therefore protected. Sorry, no. Liking to wear a diaper in public isn't exactly the same as being gay. Just no.

So “LGBTQ” still works for you?

I think this is multiple posters because whenever it gets posted, multiple reply "I could have posted this."

There are a lot of women in their 40s/50s on here and those are the prime "funk" years.

There are even more women in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s on DCUM.

More? Uh…no. It’s a primarily a mommy website, not a granny website.

Well, some of us have been on here for almost 20 years. Why do you think there is a midlife forum?

Those people (myself included) will typically be nearing 60. Not 60-80.

Very few OG DCUMers would actually be grandmothers now.

False. There are MANY grandmothers on here. They were on here when you millennials were young. It would be interesting to start a thread about how things have changed, or not.

Not really.

Yes, there's a weirdo who randomly posts in threads a comment referring to a person's butt. Same stupid comment over and over again.

Some parents make it so obvious that their DC were not admitted to that particular school. I seriously feel bad for their DC, since the parents are so obviously fixated.

There is a school I sometimes rag on in the College forum and it's not because my kid was rejected. It's because I've known/worked with three different alumni from the school who were both generally awful and also suuuuuuper into their alma mater, and therefore I have nothing positive to say about it even though it's probably not a a terrible school and there are probably kids who are very happy there. I don't think my kid will have any interest in it because of it's location and vibe, but if she did apply, I would be privately relieved if she didn't get in because I don't want anything to do with it.

You do realize this makes you sound really, really crazy? 😳😳

This is not even crazy, much less "really, really crazy"/shocked emoji crazy.

Someone has negative associations with a school based on negative experiences with multiple alumni. This is how many people develop opinions of schools they didn't attend?

Nah, it’s crazy. If you are repeatedly slamming a school you have no association with because over the course of your adult life you’ve met three people from the school you didn’t like, that is indeed nuts. It speaks to a very unhealthy level of obsession.

I think he moves around alot too. His posts are kinda sad tbh.

Hey I am nowhere near that old!! BTW I got my first high powered job at an huge Investment Bank on Wall Street with a full staff working for me at 24. My second job out of college. My first job out of college had a staff of 20 at one point at a bank when 22.

Today white men are facing the greatest discrimination known on this earth. It would be impossible to achieve my success so quick today.

Today I would not even be hired to flip burgers. White men don’t matter. I am pretty sure reparations will happen soon and I will come home and OJ or Al Sharpton be living in my house and me in a cardboard box in an alley.

I am a grandmother who raised my kids in the DCUM area but no longer live there. I like checking in once in a while. It’s still not what you know but who you know. Adults still put too much pressure on kids. And people like Brett Kavanaugh can become a Supreme Court justice.

That doesn’t mean there are MORE women here who are 60-80 than 40-60.

Wow.

Disgustingly transphobic much? Bigot.

I love that you assumed that the pp meant "transgender" when they said deviant and you are projecting and calling them a transphobe. Lol!

They were literally talking about the progress pride flag. What else could they have meant?

I’m sure there are some repeat posters on this forum, but just as common are posters who insist, all evidence to the contrary, that there’s a single poster disagreeing with them when they don’t like what they’re hearing.

+1. Have to agree. Starting multiple threads about any one school, place, etc. is the definition of insane.

Besides if those parents posting about certain colleges have kids who are worthy of the top schools, presumably those parents have a more reliable source than DCUM - and are more educated than the troll.
