Rose Hanbury and Prince William

It’s not really a rumor. Party pieces entered administration and was sold like a month ago. Prior to that they were offering a “dowry” to anyone who would buy it in an attempt to prevent the business from going into administration. It has kind of been doing progressively worse for years with layoffs in the last two years. I personally think that given changes in that industry it probably hasn’t been profitable in at least 10 years.

I think there would be more because it would be more believable that someone would want to cheat with him.

We don't know if its a happy marriage, a miserable one or just a difficult one due to having three kids, busy schedules, stress and lots of public scrutiny. These years of child rearing are tough for every couple.

At least they are lovers and friends since their teen years, know their duties well and apparently want to be where they are.

Yeah, I'm sure it's that.

H treated her like dogshit on his shoe he couldn't wait to wipe off at the first sign on an aristochick who would have him. I'm sure they are great friends and lovers, truly star struck.

Yes! Like when they were dating and he kept jetting off to hang out with Jecca Craig. And then when she eventually got married he attended the wedding solo.

One example of many. William clearly wanted to marry an aristocrat and for that reason I would not be shocked, nay, I would expect him to have an affair(s) with one or more. I'm pretty sure he's made it clear Kate needs to know her place.

Such ignorant assumptions.

Only thing ignorant is you having no awareness of the long history of English monarchs and mistresses.

Fact. Add in that Kate and Wills seem to hate each other. If it’s not happening now, it will. (I do think it’s happening now.)

She seems nice enough but I have a hard time feeling bad for her seeing as how she and her mom chased this prize for years

Oh, I agree 100%!

Does anyone feel bad for her? Weird. I won't insult her intelligence by thinking she'd ever signed up for a monogamous guy who loved her. That's laughable. She's shewd enough to angle for the crown and secure her family's dynasty, but I think she puts up with a ton. She is very gracious in accepting that her fortune comes with a lot of gritting your teeth.

DP. I wouldn’t say I feel bad for her but I bet she didn’t think she would have to put up with quite so much. And it’s probably tough for her seeing how much more freedom Pippa has with much of the same upside Kate has.

Let’s be real. Money and riches are quite enough for many. But if Wills were attractive, that would be icing, I suppose.

Kate’s getting dragged in the British tabloids (over an association with some businessman, I don’t quite get it) and other royal watchers are speculating the stories, along with negative press about the Middleton, are being planted by the Firm to make sure Kate knows her place.

Oof. That’s gotta hurt.

Eh, it's probably just the tabloids stirring things up and trying to shift the blame elsewhere.

I agree. Her mom obviously pushed her into it when she was very young. By the time she got engaged she was late twenties and had no career, so she didn’t have much choice then.

I think Charles was probably pissed because she did a surprise event at the flower show the same time as Camilla and of course people are more interested in Kate.

I thought the Party Pieces insolvency was made up but it’s real!! Apparently the Middletons stepped back from day-to-day management in 2019 and it sounds like it was managed poorly after that, if it couldn’t weather a couple of lean years even with a Covid loan. They should have just sold it back then so they wouldn’t have to deal with the headlines of “Taxpayers will pay back Middletons’ loan!”

Financially, I am sure the family is fine, if they had a halfway decent FA who diversified their assets. But they will have to be careful about vacations and other publicly known expenditures because it will cause more bad press.

Back on topic - I am sure Wills has cheated, and Kate expects it. Go read up on other kings and princes, including and especially Queen Victoria’s son. There is maybe a handful of them who haven’t openly cheated, including QEII’s father and George III (the mad one, in Bridgerton)

^ ETA: that being said, I am sure their marriage is fine. It is bigger than them, they are the foundation for the next generation and for the monarchy as a whole since they are the most popular ones in it. Kate knows that and is ALL IN. If she didn’t look happy during the coronation it was probably because the preparations were stressful and I bet Charles threw a hissy fit about their five minute late arrival.

I could see this.

Poor Kate. I think it’ll hit a little different when the firm turns on her.

Oh COME ON. I bet THEY asked Kate to do a cameo because she is popular and will draw cameras and headlines. Charles is 70, I doubt he cares about popularity as much as he did when he was 30 and competing with his wife. He probably just wants to take a nap.
