This is one of the reasons the SDNY case is doomed. Michael Cohen is the star witness. He's already been convicted for perjury and he is known to shift his statements and testimony.

The GA case seems like less of a long shot.

How do you know Cohen is his star witness? Seems unlikely. Trump sent Costello in to the GJ specifically to discredit Cohen and Bragg didn’t bother to call Cohen back as rebuttal.

How can he rebut when Costello has documents to prove that Cohen is lying?

Perhaps this is the reason the GJ meeting yesterday was canceled. We will see what happens today.

Do you seriously think Bragg was unaware that Cohen initially lied for Trump? This FEC letter isn’t some new revelation. You’re assuming that experienced prosecutors somehow overlooked lots of publicly know evidence. They undoubtedly have other witnesses and documents.

Was Cohen lying then, or is he lying now? Hard to know with a serial liar.

The Trump Grand Jury “will not meet about the case for the remainder of the week.”

Trump created false expectations of an arrest and then republicans interfered.

And the Trump was.able.to fund raise a million+ from his followers in two days. The grift keeps on giving:

That is the accusation of Bragg. Certainly one that cannot be trusted.

I frankly believe that Trump's announcement caused others to question this DA's motivations. I believe Costello felt the need to speak up because of an impending indictment.
And, I also believe that Costello's testimony has caused the Grand Jury to begin to question Bragg and wonder why they have not been given all the information the DA has.

So 19 pages in and the answer to the thread is no. Not Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday.

Oh BS. It's a very weak case. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it.

Bragg downgrades felonies to misdemeanors and routinely refuses to prosecute violent criminals in the name of "social justice". But for Trump, he wants to upgrade them on evidence long EXPIRED. It's a damn circus.

His license to practice law at all needs to be yanked.

Lying about what? The cover story that Cohen gave the pornstar a $130,000 tip for servicing Trump and then tricked Trump into reimbursing it and claiming it as a deduction on his taxes?

You guys keep changing your story.

First it was Cohen paid it, so it must have come out of campaign funds. oops. No.

Now, it's Trump paid it and wrote it off on his taxes.

Make up our minds for us, will ya?

Have you see the tax return? Have you seen the payment? Is an NDA illegal? Can you draw a line between payment and a specific crime? Do you even recognize venue and statutes of limitations.

There have been three judicial bodies already that said they're forgoing prosecution. You look desperate now. And you just keep on.

Are you fueled by urban legend or fact?

This is why the two sides will always be talking past each other.
Dems: No one is above the law.
GOP: Anybody who attempts to prosecute a presidential candidate is a partisan hack.

This is not correct.

He is using very specious charges to prosecute someone BECAUSE he is a presidential candidate.
