Do you suck at math? Oldest millennials were born in 1981. Do the math.

So rude. I'm an older millennial (40 this year) and I was surprised that OP was talking about somebody whose son was graduating from high school. I had kids young but the oldest is in 8th grade. It's weird that the children of millennials are graduating from high school.

How is it rude that you suck at math?

What sort of bubble do you live in? Plenty of people have kids in their early 20s.

If people earn the time and do good work, why should one care?

I agree with this. Life happens, let them go. Why hold it against them? Both events seem pretty important to me.

If you are 40 and your kid is 13/14, you had your kid at 26 or 27. That's not "young." In 2010 (close to the year you gave birth) the average age for first time mothers was 26. So you had kids "average" to "old" (since you said "kids" that must mean you had more kids after your first.)

"So rude" is a vernacular older Millennial expression meaning "I don't like that," aka "don't remind me how old we're getting!" I am cracking up that I have to explain this on this particular thread.

OP here. Ms. new bride got called out today by senior management (my boss) for time and attendance issues, borrowing money from subordinates (hundreds of $$$), mistreatment of subordinates, disregarding the direct instructions of senior managers and communicating directly with senior people up the chain of command without cc’ing her supervisors. She called the boss racist and inhumane and said “you’re not the boss of me.”

Borrowing money rom subordinates? Way out of line. I hope you are in Virginia, a right to work state. Time for her to go.

Explain what a right-to-work law is and how it’s in any way relevant here.
