Tim Ryan’s campaign is going to be studied by everyone who is up next time. He was amazing.

Luria was also a victim of redistricting.

It didn’t hurt he ran against a despicable MAGA candidate.

He really was. Wasted on the people of Ohio.
JD’s such a useless sack. Enjoy him!!

I do have to say that DeSantis was the biggest winner this election. I think he may actually beat Trump if they both run. Of course he was winning but the margin and it looks like the demographics of the win are beyond good news for him.

Otherwise looks like a good showing for Dems. The unbiased polls were likely correct, Dems hold Senate and Republicans take house. That house margin is looking more narrow than anyone thought.

I believe part of the Dem strategy was to put money into disgusting candidates so they would be easier to beat.

I live in Ohio and I’m pretty bummed. Ryan was a really good candidate.
My state is red. It sucks .

Ohio is an uphill battle for any D but if anyone was going to do it...it was Tim Ryan. He fit Ohio so well.Sigh

Something tells me that will happen again next time.

Agreed. A great candidate running against a poor candidate. Ohio is lost to R’s for at least a decade.

People like Vance and Cox and Bolduc were easier to beat. Not all of them were going to get beat because it was a first midterm for a new President.

Vance was funded by Peter Thiel.

Everything I have read has said that NV will go R. I also think that PA will go to Fetterman.

Yeah, I'm worried about NV. She was polling well behind.

I have to say that if Ohio or NC were this close without National Democratic Party support, gosh, what could they have done with support.

As a person raised in NC, I have to say, it really is purple. Invest that way and it will pay off.

Didn’t they do that in 2020 and came away with a bruising loss thanks to Cal Cunningham? The amount of money in that race was historic.

But Cheri Beasley has a lot more appeal than Cal Cunningham had.

Wow no sorry it’s still the South…that’s the reality in this State and how Gov Cooper is able to win.

Except they won't both run...and DeSantis will end up as the next Scott Walker.

Agreed that DeSantis would have been an extremely competitive candidate - and would have beat Biden, at least, easily.

But a downside of forming a cult around a gameshow host is you end up in situations like this.

The Miami-Dade flip in the last 6 years has basically taken Florida off the map for Dems. A total zag from how basically every other big metro in America has trended in that time. Wild.
