Chill. I'm the conservative. I've found an issue in this town where liberals and conservatives, urban and suburban have come together in opposition to the nonsense of who has access to private schooling. I was enjoying the light-hearted banter.

This is something of a miracle, isn't it? We should thank the entitled private school rejects who think they deserve special privileges because they pay taxes on million dollar houses in DC. They have unintentionally brought us together!

Awwwe! Why'd you have to go and post again? I was really hoping that the post directly above yours would be the last one on this thread. It was so perfect and fitting. I was hoping that Jeff would see it and instantly see that he needed to lock it to preserve the perfection. Here, I'll try it again....

so it is settled , all agree, 30-100% tax or non resident fee for dc private schools.
when do you think the new mayor should take this issue up?
do you think financial aid should be taxes as income?

Only if MD can tax DC residents who attend Sidwell LS.

I know a DC student at Potomac. Several at Georgetown Prep. One at Bullis. Another at Landon. Another at Holton. Oh and several at Sidwell LS.

This would NEVER pass. DC residents who plan on sending their children to private want the option to send their children to schools in VA and MD. Also, schools that are not as selective as Sidwell et alia NEED MD and VA applicants.

we can work something out ...maybe a slightly used navigator for car pools? okay, okay, you can get the one with the matching interior. darn no one will take the car with the light interior!

Not quite. (Schadenfreude = delight in the misfortune of others) I was looking for something more along the lines of "sharing a feeling superiority/transcending differences by mocking the patheticness of others."

But mostly I was teasing...
