Baldwin just won.

Well, at least my state didn't completely fail us. Plus, a good number of the state legislature seats in WI flipped. That's a bright spot I guess.

Your state, and PA and MI absolutely failed humanity today.

So did black and Latino men.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist and I thought Trump was just a sore loser last time, but this definitely creates some question as to if there was some large scale fraud happening

it never crossed my mind that there was any cheating but now i am having thoughts for the first time. it doesn't have to be large scale fraud, either.

Please don’t fall for propaganda. This election’s votes aren’t even all counted yet. Despite their best efforts, no one has ever provided any credible evidence of coordinated fraud in 2020. People were voting on different issues in a different economy with a different match-up between candidates this year compared to 2020. We’re back to living the hectic lives we had pre-COVID, not hunkered down at home trying to stop the spread. Four years ago people were upset with the sitting president’s handling of the pandemic and his corruption. This year people are upset with the current administration’s handling of inflation, border security and Gaza. There are people who couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Harris or Trump.

Thank you. I am not relying on Twitter charts. You are right, 4 years is a lot of time. I still don't understand why so many people voted for Trump. I feel like pandemic has been over for a while and that he had so much more baggage this time around than he did 4 years ago.

I don’t think Gaza was a factor. It’s evident most Americans don’t give a crap about it.

It was a factor in some of the swing states where genocide hit very close to home.

If you come up with 15-20 million more votes in a couple of days, this would be persuasive. But that number sure is hard to approach, and suggesting that the Y axis somehow negates what the twitter graph is showing is ridiculous.

And women! Lots of women. Trump couldn’t have won without the women who voted for him whereas he still could’ve won even if not a single black or Latino man voted for him.

For those who want an actual post mortem that looks at why the Harris ticket crashed and burned so badly, look at the Free Press (yes, the evil Bari Weiss's Substack) coverage, particularly "We Blew It, Joe" (https://www.thefp.com/p/how-kamala-harris-lost-to-trump). These arguments are very compelling, and everyone who wants to win in the next couple decades should read it soberly. We have just gone through a massive political realignment and at the same time have completely switched out our media institutions. I think one of the reasons people >60 can't comprehend what happened is that they just don't understand Substack, X, IG, TT, or Podcasts.

It’s not that embarrassing. She has lost the swing states, but at least she didn’t flip a solid blue state to red.

Good. New Jersey can get absolutely nothing of value from Trump. They chose the right candidate.
