The trolls and Beers for Brett stains here will never understand another POV.

Wait? Are you saying liberals understand another POV? Why don't you go to a non-liberal forum and participate in a debate rather than hang out here in your echo chamber?

Wait, what? As much as I am here, YOU are here. Now this is an “echo chamber for liberals” - based on what? I know you enjoy whining about how you’re such a victim, the endangered white male conservative, but here you are, plus-one-ing conservative posts. So much here contains “lib” as an insult, but I’m in an echo chamber? No, I’m not:

Um, because it was for a political hit? Were you asleep for two weeks?

No evidence Dr Ford came forward out of political motivation. Ditto for Debbie Ramriez

Exactly. PP, prove it was a “political hit.”

Fumbled coverup + plus Kavanaugh's refusal to call for a FBI investigation at any point = guilty of something

I wouldn't be surprised if he is guilty of the stuff in all three accusations and more.

He certainly acts like he’s guilty of everything.

Let's say that he did what she said...do you disqualify a person for an offense that was 35 years ago when they were a teen when as an adult there isn't a single compliant by any woman he has worked with or known socially but in fact gets high compliments from?

The women he hired recently, do you think they sold themselves? How could they possibly work for him? Why isn't there an outcry against them for working with him?

I would disqualify based on the perjury.

The premise was that he admited that from the beginning.

No, the stolen emails.

And you're complaining that "lib" is used as an insult? We are called racists and Nazis. Go over to a neutral site and see what happens.

Should be overwhelmingly LIBERAL.

I dont what else you wanted him to say about drinking. The fame seekers coming out of the woodwork to say he drank a lot more than 30 years ago is embarrassing.

He lied about the meanings of his year book entries. He lied about Renata.

That person Whelan identified is Chris, also known as "Squi." He was going out with Dr. Ford at about that time. She certainly could tell the difference between him and Kavanaugh. Whelan was in on the sessions with Kavanaugh at the White House the week before Dr. Ford's testimony. I think Kavanuagh helped cook up the scheme and Squi was paid off. He had signed a letter of support for Kavanaugh. His yearbook puts him in the 100 keg club and many of the same activities. If he were identified by Whelan without his consent he'd be scrambling to sue right now. I can't believe being called a possible rapist doesn't affect his teaching career.

I don't really see the difference between him and Ford and I don't see how this affects Kavenaugh at all. Both Whelan and Ford are making accusations without any proof.

And yet you don’t seem nearly so outraged about Whelan’s accusations as Ford’s. Hmm, I wonder why...

I'm not outraged at either. I am outraged at people who automatically assumed a man was guilty before innocent. That is the danger I see in this situation. You still haven't provided any concrete evidence that she was telling the truth. I don't even like the guy, but I hate mob thought more. We are not disagreeing with Whelan's behavior and also Whelan made a speculation rather than a claim which is less harsh. It's not like Ford said this might have happened to her. She was adamant.

Ford told the truth because? Wait. We have no idea if she did or not.

I don't care about what he did or did not do in high school with Ford. What I care about is his lies to congress. About the year book and other things. If he had not lied, I would have said that nobody his age should suffer for what they did in high school. But he is a liar, and truth is sacred. He is not qualified to be a supreme court justice.

I have no idea if Ford told the truth or not. That may not be knowable at this point. But I do know that Kavanaugh is a bold faced liar. He tells lies that are complete jokes, that don't even have a hint of truth. He is not qualified.

I think liberals should let it go at this point. The Dems used Ford, despite knowing she had no proof of her allegation from high school, to try to force Kavanaugh to withdraw, and it didn't work. He is in the SCOTUS now, and there he will stay. Stop wasting your time dreaming about impeachment, since you will never get the 2/3 of the Senate you'd need to convict.

I don't know about that. But we do need to do something to stop the acceptability of lying in our leaders. The moral fiber of our nation cannot hold if our very leaders are bold faced liars. What to do, I'm not sure. (and, yes, I'm against democratic liars as well. I thought if there was anything that defined what it means to be American, it is the sacredness of truth)

Watch this video of Kamala Harris interviewing FBI Director
Wray about the Kavanaguh investigation.

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/10/10/1803401/-WATCH-Sen-Harris-grills-FBI-Director-until-he-admits-White-House-limited-Kavanaugh-investigation?detail=facebook

I find it remarkable for several reasons. One, Kamala is so awesome. Do not mess with her.
Two, Wray speaks like a man who is being truthful and direct, with nothing to hide. Sure, there are things he can't say, but he is not lying, not evasive. Such a contrast to Kavanaugh!
Three, obviously, the content of Harris' questions and the answers.

I think we need to distinguish between lies. Lying about a slang term for flatulence in one's high school yearbook is not the same as lying about being able to keep one's doctor and having premiums go down.
