It's possible the Prez is sick - but I'm guessing NOT from altitude sickness. I used to go to Denver for business all the time and never had a problem. They were downtown - it's not like they scaled the highest peak to debate or something. |

Here is another hypothesis, overlapping (and perhaps contained in) some of the others: As Pres, O did not have time for the massive prep that R underwent. He had his talking points and, in addition to the "don't look arrogant" warning that many have mentioned, he also had a "don't say anything off the top of your head" warning to make sure he did not step into a real mess.

Yes. He does public appearances. Yes, he normally uses a teleprompter. However, he isn't in a position of actually having to defend his record/ideas. Without a script, he was screwed. |
