It’s ok. You don’t have to get it.

According to polling he is. And according to polling Harris is more likable than HRC.

This election was not about who was more likable. Maybe be for you, but not as a whole. A lot of the people who voted for Trump don't really like him. They are just mad about the economy and immigration and blame Biden,/Harris.

I think it’s funny that you believe the exit polling 24 years after we stopped using them to call elections.

Single questions are no good. They are only helpful in the aggregate.

Except the exit polls of independents showed it was Trump - maybe those are the ones we should focus on.

+1 Instead of belittling the every day working person trying to meet ends meet, reach out and truly listen to what he or she is saying. Instead of calling them racists, misogynists, fascists and worse, listen to their concerns and promote policies that will help them. Almost any time anyone on this forum mentioned concerns about crime, inflation, and the border, that poster was mocked and derided. Democrats showed the same reaction prior to and during the election. The MSNBC panel is what Democrats need to NOT be doing.

Trump isn't going to do anything about any of those issues except talk about them.

PP here. That may be true, but Democrats need to address those issues.

Huh? There was a border bill, a real border bill.

Anyway, the The dems were kicked out. The libs are owned. Stock up on the diet Coke, change the batteries in the TV remote and clear the weekends for golf.

Yep this is true. I live in the neighborhood where his VA golf club is. I’m dreading the return of the motorcade. It’s been a lovely 4 years without him because he otherwise hates VA.

No, a real border bill is what we are going to get now that the GOP has full control of congress.

Why do you need a border bill? You don't need a border bill. Trump can unilaterally take care of this just like Biden should have. Don't waste time with stinking bills.

I wish you were right. But he is a dishonest and incapable man. I wish there was a right leaning candidate with intellect and a spine. Trump is a disaster for America.

OMG the doom and gloom. No wonder you are all miserable-you live in a state of victimhood.

Trump has been President before - people voted knowing what a Trump President was and they clearly preferred that to more Biden/Harris.

We don't want to go backwards. it's terrible.

You’ll be fine.

I was gleefully confident Harris would win. I was. I object to one specific platform she supports but mine is not a popular position.

At the same time, I have been concerned since the Great Recession about economic concerns and Democratic messaging. Mike Barnicle uses the phrase “the lived economy,” and I don’t think enough UMC or the otherwise economically comfortable understand even a little bit that when people are concerned about pricing or rent or savings they mean it. Rich women posters who identified themselves as such here routinely called me a right-wing troll or stupid for not praising Biden and the stock market when I never criticized those things - I just said, you all need to stop mocking people over despairing about grocery prices and set out clear explanations of what can be done without calling people liars.

TL; DR - we could have done better and we have to know it.

I look forward to Trump’s closing the border, replacing Obamacare, turning on Canada’s faucet so California has plenty of water, putting as many tariffs in place as possible and everything else he’s talked about. I’ll see you in 4 years to discuss his record.

It should be noted that due to census error Florida should really have +2 more electoral votes.

Although I am glad Trump won, Walz brought out a valid concern: Musk and his company getting preferential treatment for supporting Trump publicly.

I do not want the govt telling me what kind of car I have to drive or else.

That’s going to be the least of your problems. You’re in for a world of hurt.

Government has been doing that for decades already.

I've never wanted a candidate t-shirt so much the day after the election. I have to go see my mom at the senior facility and every single person slaving away in there is a non-white woman, mostly immigrants, and they work so hard. I don't ever want them to think that voted for Trump.

Also dreading seeing my Mom. She is going to be so sad.

Sounds like you can’t wait for a dictatorship.

I am dreading seeing my mom because she will be overjoyed about Trump winning.

Musk is the only tech guy out there who is expressing concerns about AI and the need for more regulation, so I'm okay if he has Trump's ear in that regard.

I hear Putin has received several congratulatory phone calls. What a coup for them. They could never have envisioned this back in the 90s.
