Guys - dig into British media

Read that:
- Kate and William don't live together.
- She lives in Windsor close to her parents. - He lives in KP and Amner Hall (who lives close to Amner? Rose…. whose husband is reportedly gay)…

Just looked Rose up. I don’t know that I believe the affair. I mean, he could have just married her if he loved her, she is an aristocrat and would have likely been suitable wife. BUT…poor Rose. Her husband is so old. Why?? What was she thinking. She is 39 and he is 64!

Her sister also married a much older titled guy. Wanting titles and wealth running the family.

Pippa is 40 and her husband is 48.

No, the PP was referring to Rose Hanbury's sister.

In 2011, Marina Hanbury (age 29) became the 3rd wife to Edward Lambton, 7th Earl of Durham (age 51)...a 22 year age gap.

Here's a photo of them in 2011, I think this may be at their civil wedding ceremony:

As far as I tell, I think the Hanbury's are middle class peerage. Their historical family previously had an estate in Essex, but they lost it generations ago. Per Wikipedia, their father is (was?) a website designer. Doesn't exactly sound like they are rolling in the dough.

+1 She's 42 years old. I don't think anybody seriously expects her to have more kids.

The titles outlast the money. She got a title, and that's what matters

One of them said this:

"I mean, really, the Kate Middleton thing is about the royal family having power without accountability, and their relationship with a subservient press that would rather keep on their good side instead of telling the truth."

Which is spot on.

Uh, I think they're missing the point. The "power" that the royal family has is a deal with the press - and tradition. What power do they think requires "accouthnability"? The press could change their agreement with the BRF and vice versa. Tradition is a different beast - but the BRF does not have the type of power that the link is implying.

The Firm is a business. The perception of them is how they stay relevant. Their PR strategy is to throw the lower rung royals to the press dogs, to distract from the upper royals. That is why Harry left.

+1. The princess fantasy, and identifying with princesses, is alive and well among some middle-aged DCUMers.

I suspected she was then mourning not only the pregnancy but future pregnancies, essentially needing healing physically and emotionally because she was depressed, understandably. (Perhaps she was also at risk of sepsis and the situation was quite serious). BUT hearing now about the marriage and the picture fiasco makes me indeed wonder if they are separating or in a deep marital crisis. Reports of his drinking provide more fodder as well as the odd timing of reports whereby it was stated that William and nanny were handling school runs followed by close declarations that HER family was circling the wagons and doing much of the caregiving. Multiple things can be happening at once (individual issues, marital crisis, larger family dynamics...perhaps Charles is very ill and they are reeling as they prepare to take over years earlier than expected and scrambling, particularly if the marriage is also troubled). Intuitively, it feels like it is a troubled marriage which is deeply sad if true.

I wondered about something similar. Kate’s primary value to the monarchy has been her ability to give birth to future monarchs, and, secondarily, to represent the monarchy in an appropriately positive, photogenic way. Given that, something like a hysterectomy might have been especially traumatic to someone in her position— IF something similar were to happen.

Yes..and for a very contained, controlled, fit person to have a public, serious illness can be traumatic and difficult in a certain kind of way.

Or a private serious illness. A serious medical issue can be Life altering and can change one's sense of self.

I don't think there is one serious illness out there that would line up with the royal family's story. I don't doubt that there was/is a medical issue but there has got to be something else going on. Especially after Kate took responsibility for releasing a photoshopped image to the press, wtf she did not have to bear full responsibility for that.

Yes, I don't get why the royals hung her out to dry by herself. Tell me she just releases a pic on her own without "The Firm's Blessing". .. Not!

Ewwwww I feel so sad for Rose and her sister being married to those gross old men

Rose Hanbury’s grandmother was a bridesmaid in QEII’s wedding. I don’t know whether that implies “middle peerage” or whatnot, but clearly it’s an upper class family.

That deal is with the British press. It's a big enough story for American tabloids to care and they have no such understanding with the royals

Titles go to first born men. If they want to have a title, they need to find a single titled aristocrat. They did the best they could

I had an ectopic pregnancy and you only need 2 weeks to one month off to recover from the surgery. Also it’s not “planned” surgery, instead it’s an emergency they figure out and immediately operate on.

I just saw this and it made me do a double take! very damming

Aside from this one thing that made me question it is her hair being in a chignon on the photo. She often wears her hair down and that seems most likely when she was supposedly being dropped off for a private appt., rather than a fussy chignon when the public obviously wasn’t seeing her.

Take a deep breath. You're getting crazy.

The photographers who took the car picture are not amused by your "sleuthing".

"The paparazzo who snapped the pic of Kate Middleton riding alongside Prince William in a car Monday is speaking out to quash online conspiracy theories that the photo was doctored.

“We don’t change our photos in Photoshop other than adjusting the light levels if necessary,” photographer Jim Bennett told The Post."

This Jim Bennett? The guys who was exclusively tipped off to get the shot? The guy who is dependent on access to the BRF for his bread & butter?

Here's their photo agency IG, with lots of adoring words for the BRF: https://www.instagram.com/goffphotos/

Sorry, not going to believe the word of a papp who has every incentive to lie to the NY Post.
