When the Romney Campaign calls my house for $$$ I push 1 and debate with them instead

Last night I had a lively discussion with a telephone operator - I should transcribe it here, but don't have the patience to. And after the whole Linda Tripp incident I didn't want to record it...

The highlight was when I asked the operator if Obama was even a citizen (I know he is) and she said, "My opinion, NO." LOL. Are these people for real? Scary thing is they are.

I did the same - pressed 1 but instead of debating I read the guy the riot act and went on a 10 minute tirade about how I never have and never will vote for a Republican, much less Romney and why the hell are they calling me. After a tough day at work it was quite cathartic!

Interesting. When the Obama people call me, I politely say "no thank you".

Your cookie is in the mail. And Obama campaign has never called me, he only emails and I happily give him $4 every time. GOP is HORRIBLE lately. (Former Republican and OP)

I'm tempted to holler at these nincompoops, but it's not going to change their minds. And it is the height of bad manners. Just let unknown numbers go to voicemail.

I call bullshit. Ever hear of micro-targeting. Why would the Romney campaign call PG County.

FYI, "former Republican" is as credible as someone signing.
Barack H Obama
President

You can fool some people, some of the time....

I call bullshit on your bullshit. Why, then, do I keep getting Romney materials despite having never voted Republican (perish the thought)? Why did I get "polled" by a firm that turns out to be Romney sock puppet?

Well I'm a new poster. Tthey called me and mailed me for weeks, and I have been registered as a Democrat for over 20 years, I live in Arlington and I gave money to Obama in both elections.

So explain how they "micro-targeted" me?

You just misquoted what is probably the most well-known phrase in American history. I'm embarrassed for you.

I think what these situations illustrate is that the Romney campaign is perhaps even more incompetent than the McCain campaign in '08, if that is even possible.

I've noticed that Obama supporters are always really angry. Not sure if it is a coincidence or what.

I usually just hang up when I hear Romney's voice; I'm excited to know that I can press '1' and argue with someone! Thanks!
