I am keeping an eye on that thread, but while tragic, it is a newsworthy event. The posters have all been sensitive with regard to personal information. I am a bit baffled by how protective of the daycare some posters are acting. I am sure that information about the tragedy will have to be made publicly available at some point. So, I am not sure what the point is in trying to prevent it from being posted here.

I agree. But, rumor flourishes in the absence of facts. I would urge those who keep hinting that they know the whole story but are not going to tell anyone to get the facts out. Instead of having a huge argument about whether it is right or wrong to discuss the subject, treat it like the news story it is and inform people of the facts.
