Never understood why women pluck eyebrows

I prefer natural. I always found that to be a strange beauty "necessity." I like my eyebrows and they are nothing special. I think they help me look a little ethnic and I like that since I am ethnic. I'd much rather focus on toning and exercise than plucking. If I could pluck off celulite I'd hop on board the plucking wagon.

Ha-ha oh man pp, that pic is great. Anyways, i naturally have thicker but nicely shaped eyebrows. I only pluck the random hairs above and below the natural line just to keep a clean look.

I pluck mine UNDER the actual brow so I don't have a bunch of scattered hairs immediately underneath the brow, like this:





It just looks neater and more well groomed to have nicely shaped brows, don't you think?

OP, I think you answered your own question with your first line. You said, "i like my eyebrows." I like my eyebrows, too, after I reshape them. My eyebrows are THICK and tall and dark (and my hair is naturally blonde so it's just crazy looking). With my eyebrows untouched, I look like a mad scientist. It's not that I want to hide ethnicity or follow a trend or something, it's that I don't like the way they make my face look. A small amount of plucking is all it takes for me to feel instantly transformed in a positive way. It makes a huge difference in my appearance.

I wonder, OP, if you have a haircut. Do you just cut your hair any old way or do you like to cut it in a way that looks good on your face? Because I think the same argument holds. i mean, unless you need to cut your hair for a particular reason, why not just let it grow and grow and when you do have to cut it just gather it up and cut a chunk off of it?

Same goes for eyebrows as for hair. I shape them in a way that suits my face and looks aesthetically pleasing to me.

OP, I think you're just afraid of the tweezer. Tweezing those suckers out can hurt. Your eyebrows probably look like Bert from Sesame Street.

I pluck to frame my eyes. It looks a lot better than natural, trust me.

My Italian ancestry shows up in my eyebrows. I would look like Bert if things were left untouched.

Some women have nice, natural shaped eyebrows, however, most do not. So yes, we pluck, wax, and thread. It doesn't make you any better than anyone else.
