How long is the commute from home to school(s)?

| My kids went to one school that was about 30 mins away and we left the house at 7:45. DC1 then went to a private HS that was a little closer but started earlier and we had to leave at about 7:30. DC2 goes to public high school that starts much earlier and leaves at 6:40. |

Why? Our commute is 30-45 minutes and DC really enjoys it. We talk, we listen to stories and music. I hear a lot more about his day in that time than I would otherwise. Plus we're at the school that best suits us as a family and our child as a learner and as a person. That's priceless. |
