Jeff, can we please get a "like" button?

There are so many times I want to hit "like."
It seems easier than quoting and then saying +1.

+1

Now that was easy!

This isn't Facebook. It isn't supposed to be Facebook. And there are those of us here who have no desire for it to be Facebook.

As with all things well intentioned, I suspect that if adopted, the DCUMers would somehow use it to create mischief, or snark, or just pure evil.

You'd need a way to limit the "likes" so nobody could "like" their own posts, nor could they hit "like" 100 times for another post. Otherwise, it would be like sock-puppeting.

You +1ers annoy me. I don't really care that YOU like a post. If you can't contribute anything, I mean anything, whether expanding upon, agreeing, disagreeing, modifying, debating, even snarking (I know, not a word), then why bother posting?

I think there should be a daily thread or an ongoing thread for "best post of the day" nominations.

Yes! I suppose at least the +1 posters have an opinion, of sorts. The LOL posters, seemingly incapable of articulating such an opinion, only have an emotional reaction. LOL.

I had a Google Plus button and there was a revolt against it. I don't really see the value of anonymous users "liking" something. The same user can do it over and over. But, I'll think about it.

Well it would eliminate the users who post "+1000". They can just go ahead and hit the "like" button 1K times....
