Still waiting for President Obama to give specifics - great speech as usual but still waiting to hear how he plans to accomplish everything he is talking about. Everyone bashed the GOP for lack of specifics.

Here is Romney's Five Point Plan to create 12 million jobs:

I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs. It has 5 steps.

First, by 2020, North America will be energy independent by taking full advantage of our oil and coal and gas and nuclear and renewables.

Second, we will give our fellow citizens the skills they need for the jobs of today and the careers of tomorrow. When it comes to the school your child will attend, every parent should have a choice, and every child should have a chance.

Third, we will make trade work for America by forging new trade agreements. And when nations cheat in trade, there will be unmistakable consequences.

Fourth, to assure every entrepreneur and every job creator that their investments in America will not vanish as have those in Greece, we will cut the deficit and put America on track to a balanced budget.

And fifth, we will champion SMALL businesses, America's engine of job growth. That means reducing taxes on business, not raising them. It means simplifying and modernizing the regulations that hurt small business the most. And it means that we must rein in the skyrocketing cost of healthcare by repealing and replacing Obamacare.

Wow, he declared energy independence. Is that a wish or a plan? And we'll cut the deficit (actual cuts to be revealed after election of course) He'll rein in the cost of healthcare by repealing Obamacare, because things were just great before Obamacare. What will he replace it with, given that his best idea for health care reform was Romneycare?

His entire speech sounded like what he promised would happen 4 years a go. WTF should we wait another 20 years?

Maybe by the time his children can run for president these changes will happen? Shit, they will probably use the same lines to promise change.

He doesn't have to accomplish anything. He just blames everything on Bush, then he's not responsible for anything.

It is entirely possible that this type of economic problem is not fixable in a 4 year time frame. It doesn't seem like other countries have rebounded much faster than we have. And the countries in better shape. Canada is doing better but mainly because regulation prevented the same housing bubble. Germany's unemployment rate is lower primarily because it pays companies to keep people in their jobs during down times. A lot of different experiments have yielded similar results. I guess we could model ourselves after Norway, but that's not a very Republican solution, is it?
