No, ICE does not have the authority to detain citizens for chill out purposes or otherwise.

It’s pretty obv they weren’t “after” him. Who gets a rib broken then goes back out again a week later and is chasing down ICE again and inserting himself in conflict? He was unhinged and obsessed.

Yes, this is where local Minneapolis officials are failing. What he was doing was illegal and they were responsible. They don't have to enforce federal laws like immigration if they don't want to, but all other laws they are responsible for.

First you didn't think it was illegal to cross the border, then you didn't think it was illegal to commit crimes in America, then you didn't think it was illegal to interfere with border agents trying to deport.
