| I cannot figure out how to get this 90 min to myself. Do you go during the work day? |
| I go on the weekend. Usually Sunday afternoon. It's only once every few weeks, and I just pop in to the place down the street. |
| Once a year maybe? On my birthday. |
| I've had one this year, I left work an hour early. |

I'm a SAHM of two under three. Not a second of the day to myself. Not. One. Second. My only shot is the weekends when I can get DH to watch both kids. What about weekends for you, OP?
When I worked, before kids, I was doing 60-80 hours a week. I used to take a longer lunch every once in a while and get a mani/pedi down the block and scarf down a protein bar on the way back. Just bring a pair of flip flops. |
| Religiously -- on Saturdays. I have 4 kids under the age of 8. I never make an appointment then hope and pray for a long wait so I can catch up on People. |
| About every 3 weeks on Sunday afternoon. Why can't you go on the weekend? |
Sounds crazy but I don't want to go on the weekend because I don't want to miss that time with my family. I know it isn't a huge amount of time, but when you factor in meals, maps, and errands, there isn't a lot of leftover time to just spend together, you know? |
| Naptime on weekends. Stretch too many weeks in between. And usually ask to get them simultaneously or just get a pedi. |
+1 I also sometimes take a long lunch; there's a place next door to my office. |
| Friday nights when everyone else,is watching a movie and eating pizza. |
| Weeknights, probably once every 3 weeks. DH puts the kids to bed himself. He's fully capable of running a house when I'm not there. |
|
I try to do mani/pedis on telecommuting days, and i usually spend the entire pedi on my blackberry.
Otherwise, i will slip out late afternoons to get a pedi. I find the salons have too much of a wait during lunch time, and i never sure enough of my workload to be able to make an appointment. I then just do my nails in clear. |
| Pedis every 2 weeks. Only takes 45 mins. I go in the evening or Sunday mornings. |
| I don't do both at the same time. I do one at lunch on a Friday, then do the other on a different lunch hour. Mani takes 30 mins, pedi closer to 45 or 60. |
