Romney Goes Birther!

Remember when Romney was going to shake the Etch-a-Sketch and transform into a moderate for the general election and, by doing so, pick up independents? Well, it's not happening.

At a campaign rally today, Romney started off by saying, "No one ever asked to see my birth certificate." Never mind that Romney's father, who was born in Mexico, ran for president.

Romney is correct that nobody has asked to see his birth certificate. Similarly, nobody has asked to see President Obama's tax returns. Will Romney release his tax returns when Obama releases his birth certificate? Oh, that's right, Obama has released his birth certificate.

To the poster who is complaining in nearly every thread that we aren't discussing the economy, maybe you should have a talk with your candidate?

The Constitution requires that the President be a U.S. citizen - it does not require any particular tax returns.

And with all due respect, Obama's father is from Kenya, Obama grew up in Indonesia, and most of his family here are illegals - naturally, people are going to wonder, some more than others, if he was even born here.

Naturally, people are going to wonder if he was even born here, because certain political factions and news outlets keep fanning the flames of trying to get people to wonder if he was even born here. The birth certificate was produced and authenticated. It's old news. Just acknowledge that your guy is engaging in a low blow, don't try to rationalize it.

Romney is a terrible candidate. Any competent Republican should be leading by 10 points. Unfortunately for the GOP, he was the only viable candidate from their primary field of morons (Perry), psychos ( Bachmann), clowns ( Trump), fanatics (Santorum), old cranks ( Paul) and bores ( Pawlenty). We are left with a haircut and an expensive suit who stands for nothing, and does not even know why he wants to be president. On the Obama is clearly in over his head, and cannot figure out how to get anything accomplished. A mess.

Frankly Jeff, most of Obama's life prior to the Senate a couple years ago leaves mostly question marks. I couldn't even tell you where his parents were living when he was supposedly born here and what they did for a living (and how did they even end up here from Indonesia to begin with), or what Obama did for a living for almost 20 years prior to the Senate. Or where Obama's American family is other than his own children and wife. If this was one thing, just one question mark on a straightforward kind of guy, then I don't think people would press the issue so much, like how McCain was born overseas. But in his case, almost 1/2 of his life is a big ass question mark to me and a lot of people. Even bios I read online thinking I should give him the benefit of the doubt and read up on this skip MOST of his life.

i agree that you are an idiot. so the birth certificate isnt enough proof for you? what exactly would you need to make you feel ok that obama is all american?

ill give you that the media is a bit of a sucker for obama but i dont think even they would let him get away with being elected president of the unites states if he wasnt american.

if your end all source fox news cant unearth anything, why do you keep pressing the issue? i would think fox news can find someone or something to blow this whole scandal up and mess up our world but they havent yet folks like you continue to have "questions".
