| I haven't got my DD's SOL score in mail yet. She's in ES. Did anybody get it? |
| Haven't received any communication on SOL or anything about the new school year yet. |
New school year, still early. Class placements may not even be finalized. Teachers don't officially go back until next Monday. As for SOL scores, would think those should have come. They are sent out by the company, not the school. Best idea, don't ask here, call your school and ask these questions. While the teachers aren't back, the administrators are there and can answer these for your specific school. |
| Have not received official SOL scores yet for my ES child. The past few years I think they have come a week or two before school starts. |
|
No scores for us yet.
And school still hasn't communicated when the open house is. I finally called to ask. No email or web update and it's next week. Might be nice to let people know so they can plan, especially if they have to miss work. |
| yes. we received them by mail after school got out in June. |
We received the preliminary scores (unscrubbed) by mail just after school was out, but not the official results. |
My school usually finalizes class lists (as much as possible) by Monday during the teachers' first week back. Letters are sent out that afternoon letting families know about class assignments and the Open House. |
| We got DS's scores in mail today. As expected, big drop in math scores. |
| FYI--schools do not send out the SOL scores. That all happens through Pearson, the testing service that produces the SOLs. |
| We haven't received DD's scores, but do they typically differ much from the preliminary scores? If they differ, what would be the reasons? |
Thanks for posting. Was there any difference between these scores and the preliminary scores that were mailed in June? |
Nope, they were the same. These just included one additional subject that wasn't on the prelim. |
| Ours just arrived yesterday. The envelope was from our school. Initially, in the Spring, we had only received VA history. In this report, we also had Math, and Reading. It was not any type of detailed score report, just listed the Subject, Scaled Score, and Performance (pass/Fail, etc.). All 3 of his were Pass/Advanced, but despite Math being one of his strongest areas, it was the lowest of his 3 scores. |
Thank you! |
