Ours arrived yesterday - the return address was the school's but it wasn't sent by the school. The envelope had a return address window and an addressee window. The letter inside showed through the windows. When the school sends something out (like class assignment) the return address is printed on the envelope and there is now addressee window.
My DS is in 3rd grade and has LDs and gets special ed services. According to data collected in 2nd and 3rd grade, we knew he was likely to fail the math SOL because of the discrepancies between his practice test scores and his scores on 'alternative assessments'. On the alternative assessments, he scored in the 85% range. On the practice tests he scored in the 61% range. But, as of this year, alternative math assessments are not allowed so, as expected, he failed the math SOL in fact, it was "Fail/Below Basic" and no less than 200 points lower than every other subject.
Sorry but my kid is one of those that's dragging down the SOL scores.
