2029 Girls

She said that all the 2029s were split from the 2028s and 2027s except for 3 2029s. She said that 2 M&D girls and one Yellowjackets girl were placed up with the older girls. It made me think of the post where someone sarcastically stated that Coach Levy was scouting 2029s. I guess the staff knew who these girls were since they moved them up and it lends credence to those who claimed that the college coaches are aware of who some of the best 2029s are already. And no, my niece didn’t say that these 3 were getting recruited or anything of the sort, but it is interesting that these girls from top teams got moved up.

Every single coach knows who the YJ girl is. She is probably the #1 recruit for her age.

This sounds right to me. I have an older daughter, and I know very little about 2029 lacrosse. But other than people I know personally, I know the first and last name of exactly one 2029 player and she is from NC and plays for YJ.

Man you are a weird dad. I get that this is important to your kid and I give you all the credit in the world for making the trek from NC to LI for YJ stuff, but your posts are so cringe. You did the same thing on BOTC when you first moved her to YJ, it is really bizarre. Your dd is an excellent player and will play at the absolute highest levels in college, but she isn’t the best 2029 by any metric. There are better draw girls, better overall middies, and better overall players regardless of position in the class, but she is def a great player.

And yes, it is obvious that ncaa coaches know who some of the 29s are already. Sour moms will deny it, but it is true.

If you were to ask any dad watching from the sidelines at a major tournament who the best 2029 player is, almost all of them would name the YJ player. Given that nearly anyone could be considered a suspect for the previous post, it's rather “weird” to single out her dad as the likely culprit.

Lol, nah.

You are not getting it. I am telling you how it is. I am one of the dads and we talk.

Hahahahaha, ok YJ dad. You did this on BOTC when your dd joined YJ. “Watch out for the new draw girl on YJ!” “The new YJ draw girl puts them on top, she is amazing!” Again, I appreciate the hustle and the comedy.

And i am a dad too, and we talk. I can name at least 15 better girls in the class without even having to think about it. She isn’t even the best girl on her team.

OMG, you have created a little fantasy land where you know who makes anonymous posts and your daughter is the #1 player. That’s so fun!

Let’s all agree she is top 10, because she absolutely is.

Coppermine, M&D, Heros, NXT round out the ref of the 9.

I do not agree. Good player, not top 10. Watched her at LFTC, got bossed by faster and quicker coppermine mids. But good on you for promoting your daughter.

Easy on the specific player. Not a PP and definitely not her dad (seems like a good guy BTW).

Just thought I would offer that whatever you saw in June, might need an update. Very strong showing at UNC Winter Elite Camp. One of the top 10 players there, even competing against 2027 UNC commits and some of the top 2028s in the class. FCL seems to agree. Super nice people.

Recommend this page go back to the DCUM official posture of avoiding commentary on specific minors. Mr. BOTC apparently learned the wrong lessons from that defunct page.

I agree, YJ dad should stop talking about his kid here.

Shut up with this “easy on the specific player” stuff. Players are identified constantly on here. What school they attend, who they play for, where they are committed…relax forum police.

With that being said, she’s absolutely top 10 girls out there.

Specific players shouldn't be identified on here in a negative or critical light. Fairly basic decorum and I'm not going to back off the point. Other threads have been shut down due to just a few of these kinds of posts being reported. Imagine a negative spotlight on your DD, and perhaps you can see it more clearly.

Calling out other posters for self/family-promotion is fair game, especially if you are right (disputed), but adding critical assessments and comparisons is obviously not appropriate. Kids read these boards--14/15 year olds, about to enter a high-pressure process, that you are talking about here. Have some class. (That's probably a stretch for a guy who starts an anonymous post with "shut up". So many keyboard warriors...)

I’d bet the farm that her dad, who lives in North Carolina and I agree is a good dude, is not spending his time on a message board in a second or third tier lacrosse town pumping up his daughter who has been a brand name for years and needs no pumping anywhere. It’s total nonsense.

Lol have some class. Are you serious? Have you been on the forum? Again, shut up you “keyboard warrior”!

Anonymous wrote:Ridiculous they had 2030s there. Capital must be hurting to go that deep for a showcase event. Probably not fair to the 28s who my daughter said were playing with the 30 and 29 kids.

Money money money money…

100% Daughter went. Coaches were there, but just running drills, stations, and chit chatting. No clip boards like you might expect for a “recruiting” event. Doubt any of them left thinking this girl or that girl stood out. Capital is a money grab just like everything else out there. Maybe worse.

For what it is worth my daughter was there as well and I think it depended on the school (and these were assistant coaches with Richmond sending a new goalie coach). She said she saw VT and Villanova have a couple stars next to girls names on their clipboards/lists but overall not a great recruiting event for sure.

My daughter went on Saturday and I'd say it was worth the investment. Her assigned coach happened to be the Associate Head Coach from one of her top target schools and she thinks she made a good impression, which is all that one can hope for at these events. I heard Sunday was less well attended by coaches, which has absolutely been my experience with recruiting events. Always do your best on Saturday at recruiting events, because if you wait until Sunday to show off nobody will be there to see it.

Curioius if you got any feedback about your daughter after the event? Looking at the schools represented I am not sure when the last time someone from Capital committed to Maryland or Duke. Seemed like a money grab

Capital Blue 2025 sent two players to Duke and Cap Blue 27 has a player committed there.
