Saw some mention on another thread that they were moving to CCL.

Someone else said EDP. Can we get a BRYC parent to let us know?

so BRYC gives the middle finger to the parents after they signed up in May and June? Unlikely.

The website says NCSL however the NCSL divisions have been posted and none of the academy elite teams are part of it. Only the bridge teams are listed.

I'm seeing them listed? For girls, at least.

The only age group I see that is U-12 (listed as pre-ECNL). All of the other age groups are bridge teams (the colors black, silver, teal, etc.)

Academy/Composite teams will be in EDP at older age this year and then ECNL-R eventually.

Not if they drop the current ECNL teams to ECNL-R.

^^^Could happen I suppose-they most likely won't be competitive with anyone but Loudoun.

How fat and pathetic are you to have to come on here every day to trash a youth soccer club? Can you even find your genitals? Doubt it.

For girls the Teal U10 team is an academy team not bridge. But they had multiple teams at U9 and I thought they had enough for 2-3 academy teams for the fall so not sure what’s happening.

It is clear to me that BW filled the void for Super Y since BRYC directors do not want to do anything in summer, the same as rec soccer.
BRYC directors may feel those volunteers need a break during the summer. Remember they use the same organizational structure for their rec activities, covering much more kids.

NVU playing Super Y may hurt BW's regular summer camp business since kids may opt-out from BW's summer camp if they are doing Super Y. Give and Take, I think he is break-even.

BRYC and NVU are 2 different entities.

The conflict is They work for one club and own a competing club and yes by offering super y in the age groups they do it is theoretically a direct competing club. So there is the conflict of interest.

If BRYC doesn't run Super Y then there is no conflict. Super Y is considered club agnostic in regard to players and can be so with clubs as well. Why are you so bent out of shape by this? If BRYC wants to do Super Y they can. This is no different than NOVA Majestic and McLean.

The difference is the Mclean coaches and TD dont own Majestic. Where as the Bryc coaches and TD own NVUFC. To avoid the conflict of interest NVUFC should not be allowed to have BRYC players play for their club. That way you eliminate the conflict of interest.

Super Y is not the issue or at least is not much different than other Clubs. The issue on the Boys side is the training and programs through Welsh Soccer and previously through BW Advanced. I know that several BRYC families have felt paying for additional Welsh family & friends supplemental training was part of the price of business of playing at BRYC. You can compare it to HP Elite if you want but I have never heard similar complaints from PWSI.

+100

Don't do it.

Change clubs.

Exactly what is the problem?

OMG I cant wait for you clowns to move on to NVUFC permanently. Take your talentless sack of minion coaches with you. No surprise RH left for Arlington. No surprise KP and RS left for McLean. Look in mirror your staff cant coach Their records speak for themselves, Loyalty is sometimes blind, Bryc has become the new definition of insanity.

From their own website:

Northern Virginia United Academy
We are a club-neutral summer soccer academy, open to players from any club in the DMV area. We also affiliate with Northern Virginia United FC, which fields adult teams year-round at the semi-pro level.

I really don't see a future youth soccer club here but keep overreacting to a Super Y team.

The NVU Academy teams seem to be doing very well in the older age groups.

My understanding is that they did not end up fielding academy teams in every age group for girls?

Not sure what that's about.

There are 28 academy players for U10 this fall but only one team in NCSL that is academy (teal U10G is academy; black U10G is a bridge team) -- something is off about that but there is a parent meeting early next week.

For all the idiots who were bashing Northern Virginia United in this and other threads. They won four of the boys Super Y leagues in their first year. Apparently doing something right. Go ahead...make your "Super Y sucks" comments...what did you do with your summer?

Hopefully it's a portent for stronger ECNL performance this Spring.
