Easy. LORE-uh

You would have been too old for them. My sister and I (b 1975 and 1978) read them in our tween years. |
I'm 1973 and never heard of BSC either until it got rebooted. I wonder if I am just too old for it |
I have a best friend named Candice. I also like Cadence. And Harmony. So, yeah, I like names that others despise |
No, I think you're the target demographic. |
| My second daughter has the middle name Renee. I had a very sweet friend named Renee in middle school. I think it is pretty. And it just sounds nice as a middle name. |
not this poster, but I read BSC I think starting in middle school (so, tween years?). I was a 77 baby, although I skipped a year so I was with mostly 76 babies in school. I probably read the first 20 or so, then got into other stuff. I was probably reading sweet valley high right along with it. |
Law-rah (Laura) and Law-ree (Laurie), but Lore-ee (Lori). And you just know Lori dotted the i with a heart! |
Carrie rhymes with Harry (not pronounced Hairy) and Kerry rhymes with Ferry (not pronounced Fairy). |

This thread is further evidence that Generation X is the worst, most irrelevant group of people this country has ever produced.
But fear not, we, your kids, are going fix everything you screwed up. |
PP. So few people in the U.S. pronounce it as such that it sounds unnatural. Do you also say fa-nance instead of fi-nance? |
wow. that's quite a statement. I mean, GenX is the forgotten generation anyway - we couldn't have screwed anything up. |
|
so, wait, you're telling me Philly and Boston pronounce ANYTHING correctly?
GTFOH |
except maybe the kids who are making statements this obnoxious |
GenX is going to get screwed by the Boomers who can't/won't retire and then they will be considered too old to advance and will get lapped by the Millennials. So, don't blame anything on them. They won't have a chance to be at the helm. |
