Lol, I have never heard anyone say that before and my name IS Lisa. There always used to be at least 3 Lisa's in every class I was in growing up. And there is 3 of us where I work now.

I remember in high school latin learning that the name was literally the word for "She is going to be loved". What a perfect name for a child. |
| Every single one of my high school best friends’ names, as well as my own, has been named in this thread. Love it. |
Wendy is more of a boomer name. I’ve heard it on a lot on Gen Z Filipino-American babies. |

Nicole, Christina, Erica for girls
Eric and Kelly for boys |
| *whispers*…Karen |

I like Karen too.... We named our son Kieran and now we’re worried he’s going to start getting Karen jokes. |

Melissa, Samantha, Jessica (or is that more early millennial?)
|
| Claudia...so sweet valley high! |
| Jennie or Jenna |
| Megan |
Lol Claudia was from Babysitters Club not Sweet Valley |
And Babysitter's Club, which also had Gen X classics like: Stacey Dawn Kristy Mallory |
Well, speaking of Gen X, you have now legally obligated me to post this song Isn't it funny how kids today don't have the girls names we grew up with? I don't know any young Jessicas, Jennifers, Stephanies, Heathers - the guys' names don't seem to have been abandoned, though. Do you think next generation, when they have kids, will pick up our Gen X names as retro, like our gen has with greatest generation names (Henry, Max, Alice, Ava, Opal, etc)? |
