The article also says that he is personally on the hook for about 500M in loans in 2022. He can't afford to lend his campaign money. He doesn't have any.

I think that’s right. He did it to boost his brand. But why run again then?!

He had to keep the con going.

And as a sitting president it would be hard to arrest him.

Don’t forget, he hasn’t finished helping Putin, and all the other strong men he is dying to suck up to. There is still more to do. He has to continue to degrade the US, so they will give his payout.

Also, guys, he doesn’t have all the money he needs. He is still broke! He needs to siphon more of our tax dollars.

....and he needs that presidential protection from prison!

I have. That's a lot of depreciation, but that isn't the only issue on his returns. He has huge debts. This is what I always thought. It just reinforces my belief that he is actually broke on paper, staying just one step ahead his creditors.

Leverage, like depreciation, is part and parcel of anyone who is in real estate. You may as well blame a hokey player for having skates and a stick.

Yeah, I get it. So why did he hide it? You and I both know there only two reasons, one of which has just been confirmed and the other is under investigation by the DA.

Because he knows that ignorant people like many people in this thread would not understand and become useful idiots to Democrats looking to vilify him.

Well, his plan to prevent that certainly worked out swimmingly.

I don't think even Trump expected to keep everything secret. But to the extent that he can, he has tried. Because of the limited nature of these leaks, Trump is able to control the narrative to some extent. I mean, it's one thing to have a full set of released documents, but quite another to have unpublished documents from an anonymous source, reference by an article written by NYT.

I don't think it's going to turn out to be that different politically.

Hilarious, he is broke. No wonder he's so desperate, he needs to keep the scam going.

Hey buddy... can you spare a dime for a friend?

Or should it be “Hey comrade....?”

I'm not surprised, he's always been a showman.

But did he actually break any laws over the taxes? I thought people were expecting tax fraud? So far there isn't any that I can tell.

Maybe he AND Lady G can beg for money together on Fox TV.

I would gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamberder today!

The point is that he is broke, busted, and has hundreds of millions of dollars in additional debts coming due in the next four years.

Wake up, the game is over. You are cheated.

Anonymous wrote:Big nothing, common with real estate

Paying between $0-750 income taxes is common in real estate? Reaaaally?

Yea, but it's more complicated than that of course. One of the big benefits with investment in real estate is depreciation, which you can manage strategically to minimize tax liabilities. However, you do eventually have to realize the gains. I'm partner in a building project which has been using depreciation to offset gains elsewhere. However, eventually when the building is done and sold, we have the capture and realize all gains, including the deductions we took.

This is all perfectly normal. Anyone who thinks it's a big deal is ignorant.

Then why hasn't he released them if NBD?

As I already answered else where, because there are ignorant people, like the numerous ones on this thread, who would not understand that this is no big deal, and become useful idiots to Democrats looking to hurt Trump.

Which means it's a big deal.

Only to ignorant people. Trump can't help it if there are ignorant people. What he can do is try to keep his finances private to the extent he can. It's been tough, as you can see.

Seriously? Until this admin, Dem and Republican candidates released their tax returns, especially by the time they hit the general election. Same for many lower level races. Political appointees, until this admin, had to disclose their finances AND SELL THEIR CONFLICTS OF INTEREST, etc. So if Trump wanted to keep his finances private, then he should have looked into another line of work.

Imagine if Obama had only paid $750. Fox and all of its idiot viewers would have flipped out. Everyone should go check out what they are reporting right now.

Probably something like “why does evil HILLARY hate puppies, guns and America? How she really killed those four patriots in BENGHAZI with her bare hands.”

I find it amusing that so far the trumpenfool argument is that liberals are too ignorant to understand this.

So many suckers who have voted and will for Trump, who are working people paying more in taxes every year than the coming chief has paid in a decade.

Check it out people.

He’s not broke. He’s a tax cheat. He paid 750$ in federal taxes in the year he became President. The average bus driver pays more than that in taxes.
