I dont agree with your assessment and I know for a fact that neither of us have any real idea of what happened in her family.

But for the sake of argument let's say I give you that she was an exceptionally abhorrent daughter. I still maintain that any parent that sells out their kid is independently abhorrent. No matter how angry I was at my kids I would never try to make money off the public airing of their humiliation. It is cruel and over the top and points to a much less kind man than the picture you are painting.
