That is partly why I was trying to understand where the changes to the VGLA law came from and how to change them back till the DCUM jerks came on board and incorrectly stated I had a reading problem and trying to stir up trouble. From a link earlier it seems the ESSA law needs to be revised in order to allow those students to take a different test. If they have to take the same test, I can see why FCPS would want to mainstream those students. |
They really should move some areas back into Annandale from Woodson and Lake Braddock if they're going to give Annandale even more high FARMS, high ESOL elementaries. |
Probably no chance. Look up ESOL pilot program. Many of these kids were in transitional schools surrounded by Spanish speakers. It made more sense to move everybody to base schools like Lee and Herndon where ESOL esources are readily available. Besides many of these kids have kids themselves and daycare is available during the day. I think as long as they require language assistance, they can stay until they're 22. |

And, meanwhile, our illustrious SB members, Pat Hynes and Ryan McElveen, are focused on renewable energy rather than education.
I have no problem with renewable energy, but studies like this require lots of man hours to prepare reports when our schools are crumbling and maintenance is key. Preparing reports is time consuming. This is a ridiculous abuse of our employees' time. It will require weeks of work. https://twitter.com/VotePatHynes |
It’s just intended to boost the college applications of a few Madison HS kids involved with a renewable energy initiative. Hynes isn’t running for re-election and McElveen shouldn’t, either. They have been disasters. |
LOL. THIS. |
