Some of these schools I've never heard of and I was born and raised in DC.

| I'm so thrilled and impressed to see so many Mary Jane Patterson Fellowship participants being placed in these roles. I know that's the whole point of the program, but you'd be surprised at how many school districts claim to 'grow their own' but don't back it up. Not only is DCPS showing a commitment to developing their own, but DC schools have some really unique issues that only being (trained) in DCPS can prepare you for. |

Looks like Mr. Murray is an AP at Luke C. Moore--a school who's principal was given the boot this year. To go to Washington Metropolitan--another school whose principal was given the boot. Washington Metropolitan's former principal was also an AP at Luke C. Moore before his principalship. So why would DC simply recycle the same nonsense instead of using this as an opportunity to breathe much needed new life into that "school" (if one could call it that). I know no one else wanted the job, but they could've found another interim who would bring in fresh air instead of the same old dysfunction. Hopefully, Murray is a professional and will do a good job instead of simply carrying the baton of his predecessor. |

Maybe Central Office did ask as part of their vetting process. You sound like a bitter gossip with an ax to grind. |

Do tell. DCPS has showed that they hire anybody so it shouldn't be surprised to anyone. |

I don't think this poster knows...seems like a gossipy mom who's trying to others riled up to ask questions and start a lynch mob for a poor guy who's only crime is being appointed principal. |

And you're DC at it's worst! You sound like a gossip. Worse, a gossip who knows NOTHING about why the man left Sacred Heart or enough about the hiring process, reference-checking, etc to be able to make an informed comment about his past experiences. I'm sure HR and the hiring panel know much more about him and his experiences than you do. You sound like a bitter, gossipy ex. Besides, if he was fired for some horrible reason, a mature person would just state the reason. You're a harpy who thrives off gossip and wants to plant seeds of doubt and create a firestorm. In a COWARDLY way. You should be ashamed. |
