I've been told the upper school head will be retiring. Is there an heir apparent?

Apparently the new upper school head has been selected but they have not made the announcement yet, probably to keep the focus a bit longer on thanking the departing upper school head, a wonderful person.

Yes, the new upper-school head has been chosen.

See the 12:26 post. Chosen but not announced.

So ... who is it?

Ask anyone you know associated with the school, faculty, parents or upper school students and they will tell you. It's no big secret. No need to start an unnecessary stream of praise or criticism on an open forum.

Uhhh, look around this forum. Isn't that exactly what happens around here? Not saying it's a bad thing. Just saying.

So your response is basically this: "I know, but I won't tell you." That's pretty obnoxious IMHO.

The point about trying not to focus on one individual in a thread is well-taken. "I like school X because" or "I hate school X because" has a different feel from focusing on a specific individual at a specific school, although I agree the latter certainly happens often enough.

I agree it's a little obnoxious, but perhaps it's well-intentioned. If you really care, why don't you start a new thread on "New US Head at NCS" and ask if anyone has the scoop.

^^^ Meant STAs, was thinking NCS. Pass the coffee....

Why not just ask a family already at the school? I believe the incoming Upper School Head was announced in the school community a while ago.
