Isn't the more typical spelling Luca? Anyway, I agree. It bugs me about the name Ezra also. And Asa. But oddly, Noah and Micah and Jonah sound more masculine.

It's one of the evangelists. Luke (Loukas, greek origin). Just the italian spelling which, in my opinion, is more beautiful. I find naming your dog "luca" funny, didn't realize it was a "Pet" name.

Then again, the last 2 babies I met were both named Max, which to me is a "dog's name," eventhough I love maximilian and would have named DS that, but DH objected because...it was a dog's name.
