I always find it so curious that the same people who are outraged over Israel/Gaza have nothing at all to say about China's atrocities against the Uyghur people or Syria's mass atrocities against their own people. No college campus protests, no heated debates anywhere, much less here on DCUM. I wonder why that could be? |

Actually Israel is a fake country being propped up by a policy of apartheid and ethnic cleansing- without these crimes against humanity it would no longer be a “Jewish” state and would be thrown into chaos, a situation that the Israelis manufactured for themselves. Furthermore, traditional shrines and historical sites have been bulldozed. As a result, the cultural foundation of Uyghur identity is being systematically dismantled. Therefore, the persecution targets not only individuals but the existence of the Uyghur people as a distinct community.[5] Uyghur ethnic persecution is among the most documented and internationally condemned human rights crises today. The combination of mass detention, cultural erasure, family separation, forced labour, and forced sterilisation has generated UN, parliamentary, and tribunal findings that include genocide and crimes against humanity. As a result, Uyghur asylum claims should be granted on a presumption of protection.
