Regretting private high school investment because of colleges want more public school graduates

This is exactly why we went private. It’s not about college, but about cultivating a love for learning.

Private schools aren't immune from violence. You can pay through the nose for tuition, and your kid may still get shot...because ...that's how America is.

You do understand that we all make decisions in our everyday lives without any guarantee of a certain outcome, but where the underlying probabilities of potential outcomes are nonetheless materially different?

Of course violence in private schools can happen, but is far, far less likely than in public schools. My kids have been in private school their whole lives and have never experienced a lockdown or any other type of violence in school. Meanwhile at least some type of violence happens several times a year at the “best” MoCo schools.
