Yes I’ve been following all this which is why I’m hesitant. I like the values and the small class sizes. It’s not too far of a drive.

There are other schools with good values and small class sizes that didn’t shut down two weeks ago. I wouldn’t take the risk right now.

Friends that are still there and still happy? Cause then I’m not sure I trust their judgement. Many of us are still there, some of us might stay but NONE of us are happy.

If you think there isn’t another school with small classes and values, you might want to look some more. Starting high school that even they haven’t promised more than 3 years, just seems reckless to me.

My DS left last year but he still has a lot of friends that were at SSFS this year. Out of 9 that were planning on attending next year, 6 are confirmed leaving, 2 are undecided and 1 is going to stay. I hear that is the case with many students, which is understandable. It may be a great community and might survive but no one wants to gamble with their kid's education. I can't imagine staying with this uncertainty.

Sure, he is now in 8th. We left because he wasn't getting the rigor he needed in math (the only subject he needs rigor in)! One of the 2 undecideds is now leaving. It is sad all around but his Mom said they can't get passed the school not being upfront with the community and abruptly closing. No matter what happens this Summer/next year, trusting anyone there would be hard for me.

I guess it didn’t go very well. But many of us are community members just not in the school this year. I’m one of them. I left last year, I still feel bad for the school and like to know how it’s going, not to make fun just out of genuine interest about where things go with the school.
