Im sorry to come off incredulous but are you under a rock? They’ll take applicants for anything. They’re 50% short of their historical numbers. They’ll take anyone in any grade they can convince to come.

I’d rather ask why would you want to start in 9th right now?

This seems like a message posted to start an “advertisement” thread. Because why even ask here if they’re taking applicants? The school has no reason not to answer that directly. Not like it’s a controversial question that anyone needs to ask anonymously. 🤣

Forum got quiet for a few days because SSFS is rebounding. That probably upset the few disgruntled former parents that follow SSFS so closely from forum to forum. I wouldn't put it past someone like you to post the "are they accepting applications for 9th grade" question just so you can reply to it with your negativity.

Wow that you think there are parents out there who have such a plot to have a conversation with themselves just to sabotage ssfs is one wild conspiracy theory. I can’t imagine anyone has that kind of free time.

The fact that you took some of your free time to respond suggests plausibility rather than conspiracy theory.

Why do people think there are disgruntled parents who want ssfs to FAIL? Of course there are disgruntled parents. School didn’t go from 680 to 620 to 460 to 325 students without having disgruntled parents.

That doesn’t mean people are gunning for the school to fail. Upset they might be (for good reason) and voice that anger but this doesn’t mean they’re evil and sabotaging the school. Totally unfair to suggest that. Voicing anger or concern does not = evil intent.

Nobody said that voicing anger or concern equals evil intent. If you're paying attention you will see that many posters have questioned the intent of what is probably just a few who clearly hop from SSFS forum to forum since last summer with a negativity that is beyond concern.

Further, if you did leave a year ago or longer and it was because you were angry or disappointed with the school, move on. Why waste your free time on a school you no longer attend and one that made you angry enough to leave.

Np here. I have a 3 kids in upper elementary and kindergarten at another school. Was so interested in SS FS for middle and high school. Hope it works out!

This is another thing I see alot on this forum. If you don’t have a child currently enrolled you can’t still be interested in the school - or at least you can’t be if you’re trying to understand what went wrong and ask critical questions given that it really effected you. Seems that you can be interested all you want without a kid as long as you don’t say anything critical and are happy to donate money.

Agreed. We will be applying our current 8th grader next admissions season. We are rooting for SSFS!

There is at least one person who fabricated information (the $42 million in debt post). I can't imagine any reason for that other than to make the school look bad.

I honestly don't believe those who are "seriously" considering applying to SSFS right now. I mean, look what just happened. I'm glad one person saved them, but realistically, it will take years to build back that trust that was lost in the past month. I also think this thread should be locked because everyone's being ridiculous.

Well if this doesn't give you away ... You come here with one final push for people not to consider this school before calling for the forum to be locked. You're not very clever.

I said what I said. *shrug*

True, we decided to leave, but we still do wish SSFS the best for years to come. I won't be recommending that anyone enroll though until this time next year though. There's too much uncertainty.

Do you feel better now that you made your announcement? I hope so. Best of luck

Not part of SSFS - It could also be a troll who is looking to work people up. I think it’s best not to keep engaging or getting worked up over some of these posts. A lot of people are rooting for SSFS to succeed so focus on that.

Good grief. Didn't you make this declaration already a few pages back? You really want acknowledgement that you won't be recommending anyone enroll. Ok. Acknowledged. Maybe your new school has a dcum forum you can hang out on.

So happy SSFS is experiencing a Renaissance! The campus is buzzing in a way we haven't seen in a long time. Let's move on now from this forum. The title is now old news. Lock the forum
