Stfu. Everyone else says 10-12 inches.

Weather.com says 3-5 in

That’s still 1-2 day cancellation

Yep. I want at least 2 days. Happy with 3.

Explain why you need 3 days after two weeks. Are you a teacher? Because surely your kids have had enough rest.

I don’t owe you any explanation. I want 3 days after a very busy and exhausting break.

So you want 3 more days of that busy and exhausting break? what? lol

NP- yes. I want three more days. Just because. And I’m not sorry about it. Nor do I care what you think.

Sounds like 4-8 inches for D.C. forecasted now for Monday.

Virginia governor declared state of emergency already.

State of emergency has often meant school cancellations in the past.

Monday and Tuesday or for sure going to be off. Get prepared now so we don’t have to hear you cry 😢

As an early elementary teacher, the only thing that sucks is testing windows open Wednesday so if we miss 2 days, have to start testing right after getting back instead of having a few days to ease into it.

Also benchmark couldn’t start until Wednesday so then we would jump right in. Haha

I love snow days (when there's actually snow) now that my kids are older and I don't have to worry about childcare. But I hate when they stack up against the long break. We don't get many snowstorms around here and I'd rather have the kids get a break later when they need it! Mine are both ready to go back to school and see their friends.

But, I think Monday is a sure thing and Tuesday very likely.

I am going to say Wednesday will be off too.

I think Monday and Tuesday. 2 hour delay, Wednesday

Whole week. Although roads will be cleared by Wednesday it will be too cold for little Larlo and Larla to stand at the bus stop or walk a few blocks to school.

I’m pulling for a Snow Week!

Let’s get cozy! Charge those devices! Gas up your cars! Do laundry!

My husband and I both work in health care and our kids just had 2 weeks off school. I truly don’t know what we will do if we get a week of snow days. You sound like the sort of person who is wistful about Covid lockdowns and how cozy it was

Best comment today!

I was working all during Covid in healthcare support thank you very much.

Must have been really difficult for you as an empty nester. (Or, maybe some high school aged kids still home). I had infant twins and a 4 year old when lockdown started and was (still am) working as a nurse. Nothing about lockdown was pleasant. Nothing about a week off of school right after a 2 week break will be pleasant. (These kids are now in K and 4th so they still need child care). And boomers wonder why younger working parents are stressed out.

I’ve never uttered these words or entertained this thought. Surely we can make the best of it. Sledding, ⛄️, hot chocolate, baking cookies. Something (not nothing).

That sounds like a cozy and amazing day. I’m scheduled to work in the ER and so is my husband, on Monday. I’m 7-7 and he is 12-12. So, we won’t be doing any of that, we will be begging friends and neighbors to take our kids.

Oh and I forgot, risking our lives driving to and from work too.

But you don’t mind buses full of kids on the road?

They’ll adjust the window, silly

It’s state testing with a state window so maybe they can add a few days? We did get a few extra days in the fall to finish it. But not every school district in Virginia will be out of school for snow and maybe some schools went back 1/2.

Still looks like there will be closings. Be careful because it is icy out!
